In the middle of all this analogue-digital watchmaking, one watchmaker is still holding its traditional roots and has come out with yet another product, defining a company's conventional watch line-up. We are talking about Casio, known for its rugged G-Shock watch line-up.

G- Shock is known for its robustness and toughness, and has a wide range of G-Shock Mudmaster

The G-Shock Mudmaster collection is created to be used by people working in rescue and recovery operations. It is basically designed for adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. G- Shock Musmaster is widely prevalent among the people who work under extreme conditions like army personals, firefighters etc.

Features of G-Shock Mudmaster

  • Mud Resistant Structure

A cylindrical guard structure is adopted for all the buttons and the cylindrical buttons shafts are fitted with gasket linings. This structure not only protects the buttons against intrusion by dust and mud, but it also helps to alleviate shocks.

  • Button Guard Structure

Double gaskets are installed inside the cylindrical button casings. This is the secret to preventing incursion by mud.

  • Screw- Lock structure

A gasket is also installed in the crown. The use of a screw- lock adds further enhanced airtightness.

  • Triple Sensor

Built-in sensors that measure directions, atmospheric pressure/ temperature and altitudes quickly and precisely. It has the ability to achieve precision performance under the harshest conditions.

  • Vibration Resistant Structure

Alpha Gel is packed under and around the module to protect the watch from malfunctioning or damage due to vibrations. Washers securing the lug screws help prevent vibrations from loosening the band.

  • Double LED Lights

Two LEDs provide bright illumination for the dial and LED. This combines with phosphorescence applied to the hour and minute hands and large hour makers to assure clear visibility in dark places.

  • Textured Watch Band

The non- slip style texturing gives the band a military edginess.

  • Bearing Ring with IP Finish

The ring supports an IP finish for a more sophisticated feel. Imprinted with the compass bearing for Digital Compass mode.

G-Shock Mudmaster GGB100

GGB100 is one of the best-selling models among the large G- Shock Mudmaster collection. All of them feature carbon fibre in the case and offer up a mix of colours on the dial and strap. Casio adopted a new design for the GGB 100 Mudmaster, using its latest Carbon Core Guard structure, which makes it smaller, lighter, and less imposing. Gone are the button guards, and the overwhelming tank-like appearance, replaced by a relative sleekness with a bold look. As with most G-Shock watches, all of the pushers are clearly labelled as to what they do. In the case of the G-Shock Mudmaster GGB100, it’s set into the bezel on the front side.

Packed with amazing features G- Shock Mudmaster GGB 100 incorporates other explicit attributes such as:

  • Carbon Core Guard Structure
  • Mud Resistant Structure (Dust- Resistant, Mud- Resistant)
  • Quad Sensor (Thermometer, Altimeter/ Barometer)
  • Digital Compass, Step Counter
  • Spherical Glass
  • Sunrise, Sunset Time Display
  • Hand Shift Feature

G- Shock Rangeman

If you’re looking for a rugged and timeless day-to-day watch, look out for the G- Shock Rangeman watch from the Master of G series. Dubbed as a survival watch, the G-Shock Rangeman is the first professional watch to be equipped with G-Shock’s Triple Sensor technology, which means it works with an altimeter, barometer, and thermometer.

Features

  • Digital Compass

The easy-to-use compass measures and displays direction of 1/16 points with a range of 0 to 359 degrees. It features magnetic declination correction and bidirectional calibration.

  • Triple Sensor Technology

This technology is designed for the adventurers and backpackers out for a weekend trip. This trio tech helps with determining altitude, temperature and weather conditions can be a lifesaver for someone.

  • Altimeter (Altitude measuring sensor)

The altimeter is based on the barometric pressure. Everytime the barometric pressure changes, the altitude will change.

  • Barometer (Atmospheric pressure measurement)

It lets you forecast the weather using barometric pressure.

  • Thermometer

It provides accurate temperature readings. It is designed to changeover between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F)

  • Solar Power Capability

The cool thing about G-Shocks, in general, is that most of the models require no battery change or charge ever. It has a solid, solar power capability, which means that the battery life of a G-Shock Rangeman is everlasting and can go without charging for days in a stretch.

  • Save Records with Built-in Memory

The G-Shock Rangeman allows you to save up to 40 records, such as date, time, temperature, sunrise/sunset data, barometric pressure records, and more.

  • Water, Mud & Shock Resistant

Built for the adventurer in mind, Rangeman’s design and features all boil down to how tough the watch is. It can withstand water for up to 200M deep and low temperatures up to -10 C/14 F.

  • Multi-Band Atomic Timekeeping

The Rangeman receives time calibration radio signals for accurate timekeeping at all times. You can set the watch to manually receive signals or auto-receive signals up to 6 times per day. The time can be auto-corrected for the North American, European, Chinese and Japanese regions.

G- Shock GMW-B5000

This watch is every bit a modern G-Shock, just with a different case and bracelet treatment, which gives it a distinctive personality. The first feature to strike the eye is its sleek metal case. Set from stainless steel, the GMW-B5000 is the first watch in the 5000-series to sport a full metal construction. The case retains the iconic rectangular form factor of the original but boasts none of the typical qualities you’d associate with G-Shocks: no sight of funky coloured rubber and plastics. Instead, its metal build oozes quality and feels premium in hand.

At 49.3mm by 43.2mm, this watch is, by G-Shock standards, conservatively sized. It sits well on an average wrist due to a 13mm case thickness and offers a palatable amount of wrist presence. It also has a good balance between heft and size.

The watch uses a super-twisted nematic (STN) display with the neutral-coloured background. Texts are crisp and highly legible. It offers overall excellent viewing angles, though the display can appear washed out at certain positions. Additionally, the watch is equipped with a Super Illuminator LED – Casio-jargon for LED backlight. It senses ambient light and light up accordingly, ensuring an effortless time-telling experience in all situations.

Surrounding the LCD are solar cells which enable the watch to be recharged when exposed to a light source. They feature the iconic “brick” pattern which harks back to the original. A flat bezel protrudes from the case providing protection to the LCD and solar elements.
