Art is characterized by the Collins English Dictionary definition as art acquired by experience or observation. It may be of any kind: art form; a work of art; a visual apparatus for communication notion or a message. Abstract art is a wide genre of art such as painting, sculpture, mosaic, printmaking and collage. Abstract artwork uses unique visual language of texture, shape, line and colour to generate a work that can exist without the assistance of visual references from our physical universe. The first category of abstract artwork is found in types such as painting and sculpture. Paintings and sculptures do not have a particular function in a human's life; they're produced for their beauty and significance. Paintings are usually representative of a private aesthetic sense or want. Works of art such as paintings and sculptures can be classified into two different types: realistic and lyrical abstraction. Realistic art is the consequence of an artist's vision, while lyrical abstraction is"the spontaneous expression of a notion in some particular form".

Alberich, Paul-Louis, Boucher, Paul Frederic, Amour, Jardin and many others have contributed to the richness of our visual language. Painting and sculpture do not own a set purpose in a human's life. It is not meant to provide utility or profit. It is a type of art which allows the artist to have full creative control over the content of their job. It expresses a personal aesthetic sensibility.

The word'abstract art' brings to mind a blank canvas, a non-specific meaning and obscure images of things. In reality, sculpture and painting are only one part of the huge spectrum of the art form. Conceptual art, music, literature, film, design and sculpture are part of the abstract art form. Aesthetics play a crucial part in abstract art. But a frequent theme in all these forms is the absence of a subject.

Painting and sculptures allow the artist to evoke feelings in the viewer with his or her creativity. Abstract art is a sort of creative artwork where an artist arouses the senses of the viewer by means of his or her imagination. However, with abstract expressionism, the artist produces a realistic image from a given thought. Surrealism is among the most popular kinds of abstract expressionism.

A major problem with abstract art is the absence of a clear delineation between the abstract and the concrete. There is no such thing as absolute pure abstraction; every thought can be abstractified this way. This applies to all genres of artwork including figurative, symbolic, abstract and photographic expressionism. Some painters enjoy Rothko has employed the phrase'abstraction' to describe his style. However, there are lots of painters who do not enjoy this type of artwork.

Pure abstract artwork is not usually from a single canvas but may be found in the form of a work of songs, a poem, a painting or even a video. Pure abstract artwork isn't usually highly concentrated on a single theme or topic. An instance of the type of work is a painting of a hummingbird, which could possibly be inspired by a photograph of a true hummingbird. But when speaking about pure abstract art, there are two main types. They are the geometric abstract art and lyrical abstract artwork.

Both forms of abstract art share specific characteristics. They are normally made from non-concrete substances like synthetic fibres and seeds, paints, watercolours, pens and other colored pigments. Some artists use various mediums to generate their paintings too. Oil painting, watercolouring and some photographs are using to make abstract paintings. These days, abstract paintings have entered the mainstream art scene and they are able to be seen in offices, houses, galleries and public areas.
