Morocco All Year Round Adventures Morocco is an all year round holiday destination. With fabulous weather and a range of activities on offer throughout the year a Morocco holiday can do no wrong. Morocco holidays range from rural adventure holidays to bustling city experiences to trekking challenges. The hiking is spectacular in Morocco too with the Atlas Mountains perfect for all walking abilities. If you want to discover the culture of North Africa, travel to Berber villages set high in the Atlas Mountains for rural life or head to the exotic city of Marrakech, the historic Ait Benhaddou and coastal town of Essaouira. If you're a Hollywood fan you may recognize Ait Benhaddou as it was used in the 2000 film 'Gladiator' as a breathtaking backdrop. The former pirate lair of Essaouira gives you the chance to absorb yourself in the country's naval past. Another inspiring city you must visit is Fez, a beautiful maze full of magnificent sights, smells and sounds. Trekking fans have the chance to summit the highest peak in North Africa - Mount Toukbal, which stands at 4.167m. At the top of the mountain, you are rewarded for you climb with unforgettable panoramic views stretching from the Western Atlantic Ocean to the Eastern Sahara Desert. A week's trek through the Atlas can see you summit not only Toubkal but also her little sister, Jebel Ouanakrim, which rises to 4,088m. Both summits offer stunning views of the Sahara desert and Morocco lying beneath. Trekking Toubkal during the winter months is an all together different challenge but one that shouldn't be missed. The snow and ice only seem to enhance the beauty of the Atlas wilderness. The Sahara Desert is an unforgettable destination too. In what seems like a never-ending sea of orange sand, you can get a real taste of nomadic Bedouin Tribe life by staying with the tribe in a desert camp. Using camels for transport you can head deep into the Draa Valley past villagers collecting everything from dates to grass. There are crumbling Kasbahs, deep oasis and hints of forgotten river beds among the shifting sands. Sleeping under the stars is a breathtaking experience and possible most of the year. In summer the heat can be unbearable in the desert so head out towards the Pacific coast. Either hit Essaouira or head to the quiet capital of Rabat. From Rabat it is just a short drive to the imperial Meknes, home to pilgrimage site Moulay Idriss and the 2,000 year old Volubilis ruins. Further south is the coastal town of Agadir, perfect for swimming, sunbathing and generally having a summer holiday. If it's a bargain you're after then make sure to hit the souks and stalls of Marrakech. The bustling bazaar of the main square offers a rainbow of delights. Here you can buy spices, carpets, perfume, shoes and more, with a good haggle thrown in. Marrakech is great for a short city break at any time of year giving you a taste of Morocco in one town. Whatever your purpose is for going to Morocco, whether it's for an active adventure or cultural exploration; the stunningly breathtaking country will give you memories to last a lifetime. emploi à meknes
