The town of Zhenshan is mainly populated by the associates of the Buyi mentality team. It has practical transport and is 21 km from the town of Guiyang, 11 km from Huaxi, and only four km from the Huaxi Dam. It, includes a 3.8-sq-km place on a peninsula that just out into the Huaxi Tank, so it is enclosed by h2o on three ends. It was designed during the Wanli interval of the Ming Empire, (AD 1573-1620) and has a record of more than 400 decades. It contains 105 houses of associates of the Buyi cultural team, 38 of the Miao cultural team, and one family of Han individuals. The Li and Ban family members are the biggest in the town. Nowadays, only seniors villagers talk the Buyi language, with most discussing mandarin, since the town is near to the Guiyang suburban area place.

The residences in the towns are in two categories: those together with surfaces and those together with waterways. The former are mainly in the "sanheyuan" design, created of timber, with surfaces, ceiling and courtyard of pieces of rock. The latter have a row of stairways, no garden, and groups. The framework is timber created. The primary street in the town results in a slot and every family via valleys.
