One, the comment area is usually under the entry. Allows direct communication between you and your readers. Two, posts are included in the RSS feed. Readers can remain cutting-edge with new content from your blog. Adding posts to your WordPress blog can be done with these simple steps listed below.

  1. Enter your WordPress dash (also known as administrative panel)
  2. Click the "Post" tab located on the left side of your dash.
  3. Under Subtab, click "New Add" and start filling the blank field
  4. When you are ready, press "Send"

Tips for filling the blank part

Title - This is your post title. Consider using the rich keyword title. And avoid duplicates.

Permalink - The permalink field will be displayed when you save the draft. This is the URL for your posts and shared with your readers. This is a simple version of your post title. If your title is "Let's start - how to add a wordpress post", Permalink will be simplified for "let's start-way-to-add-a-wordpress-post" You can shorten this link if you find it too long. If you shorten, let keyword rich words, such as "Add-WordPress-Post". This will help search engines find your content.

If the permalink field is not displayed, you can activate it by going to settings> Permalinks. Check the appropriate box.

Post editing area - this is where you add your content. Posts, links, images and videos can all be added in this box. You are given the option to use Visual or HTML when writing. If you just start with WordPress, use the visual tab when writing.

Like and share - if you want the reader to share your blog posts after being published, check the button.

Category - This helps set up your blog's posts. Bloggers usually have several categories, so readers can easily find the content they are looking for. If you write about food, you might consider having a labeled category, 'breakfast', 'lunch', and 'dinner'.

Post tags - this can be considered subcategory. If you write a post about 'know smrambobed southwestern', tags like 'vegetarian' and 'tofu'. The reader will see your tag under the posts of the published blog. Another easy way for readers to find specific tags is to use the Cloud Tag Widget.

Draft - allows you to save your posts. You can come back again to continue editing or writing posts.

Preview - this allows you to preview your posts before you publish it to be aired.

Publish - Click this button when your posts are ready to be aired. Your content will soon be available for the public. You can set the status of visibility to make private posts or passwords protected. This feature works well with membership content or if you need to maintain your privacy. Another visibility feature is to make post posts to the top of the page.

Check the button if you have an important post that you want to save at the top of your blog page. A blog post can also be scheduled for the requested time. When you build an online presence, maintaining a set schedule is important. Your readers will know what to expect. Write the post at midnight, schedule to air in the morning.
