CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021: 6 Tips to ace the Exam and Score Better

The dates for examination for Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 2021 class 10 and 12 examinations have already been announced. According to the dates shared the examinations will be held from May 4, 2021, to June 10, 2021, which means that students now have only three months to prepare for the tests and give their best shot.

Now with the time running short, here are a few tips to excel at these exams and make the most of the time that students have at hand.

1) Time Management:

Time Management is an important skill and children appearing for CBSE 2021 class 10 and 12 examinations will have to learn this on their own this year. The students will have to spend their time judiciously to prepare for each subject. In addition, they will have to manage time to do full justice to their paper in the allotted time of three hours without missing any question.

2) Being Physically and Mental Fit

During the pandemic, most of us including the children appearing for boards were unable to step out of their houses. They will have to focus on being physically and mentally fit. In the lockdown that followed as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, children have become ever more introvert as they were not meeting their teachers or friends. Now with things opening up, the kids will have to be counselled by the teachers, parents and caregivers on seeking help whenever they need. They will have to work towards keeping themselves mentally as well as physically fit.

3) Study Environment

Students should try and keep their study environment calm and clean. This is especially critical for children that are average in studies or get distracted easily. While self study is important for board exams but this year students have been forced to rely much more on this tool. A calm environment can enable kids to study without distractions for longer duration.

4) Revise often

Revising is an important tool. There are plenty of mock tests and sample papers available to children to help them revise. Even CBSE has uploaded mock tests with the revised syllabus for children to prepare better for the upcoming exams. One should not just attempt these tests but also analyse where they are making mistake and rectifying the same.

5) Get to a safe zone

Due to the pandemic, the syllabus has been cut down. Children should buy the newer sample papers that are made according to the new syllabus. Additionally, students should colour code the syllabus based on the weightage that every section has. The first aim should be to master the section from which the maximum questions come and with the help of this get to a safe zone. Only after mastering this zone, they should get to excelling in the rest.

6) Focus on NCERT

NCERT is very important and students should also remember that the board exams are about articulating well. While practising students should write all the answers and get it corrected by a teacher or check from model answers and try to ascertain where they are missing out.
