How to Get NSIC Registration Online?

What is NSIC?

NSIC is the short form used for “National Small Industries Corporation” which is a government enterprise operating under Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise. Created by the Government of India in the year 1955 is recognized as Mini Ratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

Eligibility Criteria for Registration under NSIC

Before applying for registration under NSIC, the applicant has to essentially meet the following requirements:

  • Applicant must be a Micro and Small Enterprise with valid EM Part-II or Udyog Aadhar Memorandum
  • MSMEs that have commenced their business and have sustained commercial production for one year or less can make an application to obtain a provisional NSIC certificate which has a validity of one year.

What is the Process of NSIC Registration?

Enterprises that are manufactures or service providers having registration under MSME or Udyog Aadhar are entitled to get registered under NSIC. MSMEs that have Udyog Aadhar Registration can make an online or offline application to the NSIC office. Below mentioned is the process to apply for online registration under NSIC:

  • MSMEs can apply online by visiting the official website of NSIC “http://www.nsicspronline.com/home.aspx” by duly completing the application that can be downloaded from the official online portal.
  • The applicant also has the option to apply offline by submitting the required documents and arranged fee to the regional/zonal/branch office of NSIC.
  • Photocopy of the Registration application, along with essential documents, is sent for inspection to the inspecting agency.
  • On receiving the inspection report submitted to National Small Industries Corporation by the inspecting agency, then NSCI will issue the Single Point Registration Certificate.

Documents required for Online registration under NSIC

Following documents are attached with the online/offline application for obtaining registration under NSIC:

  • Detailed information regarding  installed plant & machinery such as the value of asset, depreciation, date of purchase, etc
  • COI, in case of a company.
  • In case of a partnership firm: Form- A issued by the registrar of firms.
  • In case the applicant is a Limited Liability Partnership: LLP agreement.
  • MOA & AOA
  • Self-attested documents for supporting ownership.
  • Directors’ Declaration regarding no connection with any large scale unit.
  • Bank's report regarding the financial position of the applicant.
  • Detailed list of raw materials, finished products or in-process products.
  • PAN card of the company
  • Preceding years’ Audited financial statement.
  • If applicable; BIS License is required.
  • ISO 9000
  • Details about installed equipment for quality control in the factory.
  • Details of manpower along with the technicians employed in the department of manufacturers.

Charges for Registration under NSIC

Charges for registration under NSIC such as inspection charges, registration fees, along with professional fee are to be paid at the time of registration:

  • Fees for new NSIC Registration of MSMEs:

  • For micro-sized MSME: Rs. 2000
  • For small-sized MSME: Rs. 3000

The validity of Registration under NSIC

NSIC Registration under the scheme of Single Point Registration provided to MSMEs is valid for two years which is renewed after the expiry of two years and a provisional registration certificate under NSIC is granted to MSMEs with a financial limit of Rs. 5 Lakhs which is valid for one year.

Benefits of getting Single Point NSICRegistration

The entities having NSIC registration are qualified for additional benefits like:

  • In accumulation to the free issue of tenders, additional items of SSI sector along with MSMEs products are held in reserve for exclusive purchase.
  • Entities having valid NSIC registration are off the hook from the payment of Earnest Money Deposit.
  • At least 25% of the yearly purchase made by the central ministries, PSUs or government department must be delivered from MSMEs out of which 3% should be procured from the units whose owners are women entrepreneur, and 4% must be procured from the units whose owners come from SC/ST.
