Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College Admission ? An Overview

Sri Devaraj Urs medical college has earned deemed university status from the Government of Karnataka. It has been offered accreditation by NAAC India and is ISO: 9001: 2000 certified organization. Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust started this esteemed medical college in the year 1986. The college is spread out in an area of about 100 acres of green land. Studying in this college will make the students learn all about the medical education in various courses of studies. Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College admission is given to candidates with decent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 intermediate Board examinations. The candidates willing to join the postgraduate courses must complete MBBS with good grades from MCI recognized institution.

Sri Devaraj Urs Medical college admission decision depends on the college authority. The admission department looks into the academic records of the students closely and goes through their grades in 10+2 level. The candidates must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission into the undergraduate course. They must be physically fit to participate in all the activities of the college. The candidates must have good ranks in the All India level entrance tests. The students willing to take up postgraduate courses in the college must have an MBBS certificate with completion of the internship period of the course. Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College management quota admission is limited to only 5% of the whole number of seats. 80% seats are offered to students coming with sound academic backgrounds. 15% seats are reserved for the candidates coming from foreign countries. The fee structure designed for the management quota candidates are higher than normal fees charged. The candidates must come from recommended sources or be able to show a valid reason for not having sufficient marks in the 10+2 level of examinations. No special preference is offered to such candidates, even if they pay higher amounts of money to get an entry.

The candidates getting admitted through this process must have to attend the classes regularly like other students. They have to study seriously and take part in all the college activities. They must fair well in the assessments and periodic tests and prove their excellence during the course period. They will never be given extra marks or attention in the college activities. They may have to pay the entire amount of money at one time during the admission process.
