These days, dental colleges are as popular as the medical colleges. Managing to get an admission into a good and reputed dental college is not a very easy job. You need to select a college that has the capability to assure you a perfect base in order to make you a good and competent dentist. In order to get admission, one has to pass 10+2 or an equivalent examination with main subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Each college has its own criteria of setting a cut off percentage, though most dental colleges in Bangalore ask for a minimum of 50% in each of the subjects. There is an age limit as well, and one has to be above the age of 17 years to get admission in a dental college.

Some colleges prepare a rank list based on the score achieved in the All India medical entrance Examination. They offer admission on the basis of this rank list. BDS is a five year bachelor’s degree program. Once you complete BDS from any of the BDS colleges in Bangalore, you can either practice or go for your master’s degree, which is known as MDS. MDS is a three year program in which you can specialize in any of the fields. When you go for an MDS, you need to select colleges based on your specialization interests and plans. The common fields are:
