Our Sharpedge brand Anterior Chamber Maintainer (ACM) cannulas help the surgeon maintain the anterior chamber during the eye surgery. The anterior chamber maintainer is usually inserted into the anterior chamber through the side port incision.

Our range of ACM cannulas include:

  • Self Retaining ACM (Lewicky).

  • Oval ACM (Blumenthal).

  • A.C. Irrigating Cannula (Knolle).

Self Retaining ACM (Lewicky): Our Self Retaining ACM (Lewicky) has groves on the tip which enables the tip to snugly fit into the side port incision and this helps keep the tip in position during the procedure. It is available in the 19 gauge and 20 gauge sizes. It is further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

Oval ACM (Blumenthal): Our Oval ACM Blumenthal has a broader base which tapers out at the tip, this keeps the tip in position during the procedure. These cannulas are only available in the 20 gauge size. They are further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.

A.C. Irrigating Cannula (Knolle): Our A.C. Irrigating cannula (Knolle) is used for the irrigation of the anterior chamber, it has a 2 millimeters angled tip. It is only available in the 23 gauge size. It is further available in both the reusable and disposable variants.
