The metals have been the most useful element and have had a huge impact in the industrial field. However, you must know that the metal is not useful by nature. In fact, it is first converted into alloy and then used for industrial purposes. In this article, we will discuss the use of different types of alloys for industrial purposes.

Some of the most common metals that have high usage in the industry include iron, aluminium, tin, cobalt, nickel; gold and silver. The alloys of this metal are used along with others to find better usage in the industry. In addition, these alloys are known to have better thermal properties like high tensile strength and melting points. Thus, they are mixed along with metals, thus, forming better results.

Below we have stated some of the common alloys that have high usage in the industry.

Copper Alloys

The copper alloys are mixed along with zinc to form better brass metals. Thus, they have a high usage for items with low friction requirements, such as Valves, locks, bearings and gears. The best part about brass is that it is recyclable in nature. Similarly, there is bronze that has high usage in making of automobile transmission bearings. The bronze is made with a combination of tin and other essential metals.

Aluminium Alloys

The aluminium is one such metal that has high usage in the production of several other products. One of the reasons for aluminium product being high on demand is because it has higher resistance to rust, reflectivity, conductivity to electricity; it is non-brittle while excessive cold and is non-combustible. The alnico alloy made from the combination of aluminium, nickel and cobalt is used to make electric motors, cow magnets, sensors and microphones. Some of the other popular products made of Aluminium Casting Alloys include aircraft structures, truck wheels, auto body panel sheets, forgings and pistons.

Iron Alloys

The next most important alloy that has high usage in the industry is Iron alloy. It is used as a combination with steel or stainless steel. This alloy is used to make materials for constructing railways, roads, bridges and skyscrapers. In fact, the stainless steel is highly used to make surgical instruments, industrial equipments, bridges, aircraft, and automobile body parts. This alloy is high on demand as it has high rust resistance, tensile strength and welding ability.

Overall, different alloys are used to satisfy different needs and requirements of industries. In fact, we can say that it is a boon for several industries, which it serves.
