What is the Technology Behind A Decanter Centrifuge

Basically Decanter Centrifuge removes solid matter from the liquid substance, like a water purifier. It usually consists of an inclined rotating drum. The food or liquid substance is fed to the drum through a feed pipe, with the action of centrifugal force, the heavier insoluble particles of impurities and solid are thrown out at the periphery of the drum by the fluid, and sedimentation occurs in compartments. The centrifuge is divided into four main sections

Inlet zone

Liquid discharge section

In the diagram of a two-phase decanter, the two-phase liquid discharged from the bottom of the decanter into a separate regulating or boosting pump. The liquid phase is discharged over a series of dam plates and each phase is discharged into a baffled receiving tank located below the decanter.
