Giovanti Humphries (Born 06/24/1987) is a former banking and technology executive turned entrepreneur. His most recent ventures have included technology, manufacturing, and distribution in the Cannabis industry. Giovanti has traveled with world consulting governments on technology and cannabis regulations, while also attending the world economic forum in Davos in 2018 to discuss blockchain-related Cannabis technology.

Early Life and Education

Giovanti humphries was native in San Francisco and grew up in multiple cities. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political science from San Francisco State University and went on to obtain his MBA from the University of Miami.

Career

Giovanti began his career as a brokerage associate working for Wells Fargo Advisors. [3] He later became a Vice president Senior Manager in the Wells Fargo Community Bank. From there he was recruited to City National Bank where he was Vice president of Business Development for the San Francisco Bay Area. He left corporate finance in late 2017 to join a cannabis technology start-up and serve as Chief Financial Officer. He represented the company at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and provided commentary on cannabis & technology legislation in Malta. Currently, he is the Co-Founder and CFO of GW Holdings, a cannabis operator in Los Angeles.

Giovant never imagined that he had become a cannabis entrepreneur, let alone an advocate. But in 2017 he was given the opportunity to become the CFO of a tech company that was building a platform for the cannabis space. He got out of corporate finance and started what would be a whirlwind of three years of travel. He started gripping as much information as he could, meeting as many people as possible, and trying to envision what the world of abandoned cannabis might look like. He has traveled the world, hearing stories, engaging with fans and patients alike, and connecting with governments and universities to understand what he could do to make an impact. It was through this shared learning experience that he discovered that he was part of something much bigger. He had found his calling.

He has been around Cannabis. He raised up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and there is an entrenched cannabis culture there. When he was about 10 years old, he recall going to the Haight - Ashbury Region with his mom. He was so captivated by the free motivation in San Francisco. There was a lot of beauty in it. As he developed older, cannabis brought tranquil to his stormy life.

Villages Park in Berkeley, Baker Beach in San Francisco, and Lake Merritt in Oakland are all special places for him - and they are landmarks in the cannabis community. Positive exposure to cannabis culture at a young age allowed him to form an unusual perspective: he has always perceived cannabis as a medicine in the first place, and as something that brought people together. He saw his community, family, friends, and parents. They have been unconcerned about any stigmatization.
