Cleaning Stainless Steel TipsPosted by detectmetal on May 19th, 2015 (Photo by:316 stainless steel sheet) One of the most often overlooked household cleaners available is undiluted white vinegar. It's an excellent natural source for your cleaning. It's perfect for dissolving any grease stains as its both non-toxic and will not damage the finish on your stainless steel. Simply take a clean damp cloth and rub the stains with vinegar. Then follow with warm soapy water and your left with a shiny bright pot or pan. This also works well on any utensils as well. Remember any time you are scrubbing a persistent stain on your cookware then to risk damaging or removing the chrome finish always scrub in the direction of the finish. Never against it and do not scrub in a circular motion as well. If you've chosen large stainless steel appliances for your home such as refrigerator, stove or dishwasher then I suggest cleaning those with a mixture of one part water to one part white distilled vinegar. Simply pour this into a spray bottle and use a clean dry cloth of paper towel to wipe them clean. Of course after you've done this it's also an excellent idea afterwords to apply a layer of stainless steel polish. This way they are protected from attracting dirt and grime.
