Are you excited to play card games online? Hoping to make a fortune or at least find a better pass-time activity? You will not be the only one hoping for this, so we are out here helping you with the same. Poker games are highly opportunistic, given how you give you the options to make it a career or go with a casual approach.

These luxuries were not available previously, considering how niche the poker audience used to be. However, today, with virtual poker rooms advancing the game of cards by leaps and bounds - it is natural for new players to join the portal in a way they can tailor their own experiences.

Where you choose to play card games professionally, or whether you decide to keep it as a weekly hobby for leisure - one thing is for certain, you stand a chance to win real money. Of course, depending on the stakes you are competing for, your competition will vary accordingly. But if you pay attention to the basics and play with thoughtful strategies, you are mostly in for a good campaign. Let us now go over three such poker games that will allow you to partake in lucrative games.

Texas Holdem

Texas Holdem is by far the most popular of all poker card games. This is a five-card variant - meaning you must have the best possible five-card poker hand to win the game. You could be facing anywhere between six to ten participants for most Holdem games. However, you could be meeting hundreds of opponents during big-money tournaments. Playing this game will give you all the practice you seek as a rookie. Not to mention that some of the most prized games in the world are played in this format.

Omaha

Omaha is almost always referred to as a twin variant of Texas Holdem, given its similarities. Here too, you must form the best possible five-card poker hand, and you could be facing similar competitions in both cash games and tournaments. Both games operate the same, from poker hands to table positions and from betting rounds to poker actions. However, in Omaha, you are dealt with two additional hole cards, which makes the calculations a lot tougher.

7 Card Stud

7 Card Stud used to be the most popular of all poker card games before Texas Holdem's rise. This is a unique five-card variant where you have no blinds or shared cards. Instead, each participant is dealt with their own set of seven cards across the five street rounds. Your goal is to form the best possible five-card poker hand to win the game. Only six participants can play 7 Card Stud. In this game, aces act as high while deuces act as low. Suits are ranked as Hearts, Spades, Diamonds and Clubs.

Inference

We hope this blog helped you decide which of the many card games you would like to choose as your first. Remember, regardless of the variant you go with, tactics and calculations are the keys to your success.
