So when you plan a trip to Pakistan, there are a few places that you must visit. Not everyone will be aware of this, but Pakistan is made of 4 provinces: Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. They also have a federal territory like every other country; Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan. Let us start from the very beginning; the most famous places to visit in Pakistan are,

Mohenjo-Daro 

It is a historical place in Sindh and was discovered in the early 1900s. After an extensive study and excavation of the area, professionals concluded that the ruins were once part of the Indus Valley Civilisation; Mohenjo-Daro is now listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. It is a place that you must visit at least once. 

Shah Jahan Mosque 

Pakistan is a predominantly Muslim country, has a lot of beautiful mosques. And the best in this is the Shah Jahan Mosque. It is designed so elegantly with so many unique colors. Just the geometrical design of the mosque will keep you mesmerized. 

Other than just roaming in the city and exploring the daily life there, you can head up to the mountains and see the beauty of nature in Pakistan. There are so many adventure activities that you do, like mountain climbing, rafting, and trekking. 

Northern Pakistan 

The most adventurous thing you can do in the Northern parts of Pakistan would be to reach k2 base camp trek. The second highest mountain in the world. You will find this humongous peak at the Karakoram range in Pakistan. Over the years, people have come up with different names for the mountain. In Chinese, K2 is known as Qogir Feng, and many locals call the mountain Dapsang or Chogori. Other names that are very popular in books are Mount Godwin-Austen after the British topographer Haversham Godwin-Austin surveyed the K2.
