Indian Satta Matka happens to be a game of chance or odds. It initially began in the 60s and comprised of hedging a bet on the starting and ending prices of Cotton issued by the New York Cotton Exchange. However, the game changed as time passed by in terms of way of playing, legality, revenue, etc.

What is India Satta Matka?

Indian Matka is a kind of gambling that has been active for some time. Satta is called gambling, and Matka is called a pot (Pots were used to draw numbers). The lottery-based game gained popularity in India between the 60s and 90s. Over time, the status of Satta Matka also transformed greatly. Now people have more options to choose from online and offline gaming options such as roulette and slots from offshore service providers apart from Matka.

The genesis of India Matka

Ratan Khatri happened to be the father of the Matka Game in India. He is even called Matka King. After the New York Cotton Exchange ended the tradition of providing closing and opening prices of cotton in 1961, Khatri launched his version of the game. He brought in the practice of announcing the opening and closing rates of imaginary products. Numbered Chits were kept in an earthen pot (or Matka) to be drawn to proclaim results. A person would pick a drawn chit and announce the numbers. This kind of Matka game attained a lot of popularity in Mumbai among textile mill workers.

How it is played?

In India, the Matka game is usually played via drawing three cards from a deck. Players must choose three numbers from 0 to 9. If the selected numbers can be turned into a two-digit number by addition, then the last of the two digits is factored in for the output. For example, if a player selects 5, 6, and 8, which via addition comes to 19, then 9 happens to be the last output number. Making the draw 5, 6, 8 *9. In the same vein, the second set of three numbers are selected from 0 to 9, e.g. 3, 8, and 7, which bring the total to 18 and make the draw 3, 8, 7 *8.

The final card for the player will be:

5, 6, 8 *9 x 3, 8, 7 *8

All the bets get placed before the draw. Players have the option of hedging a bet on the whole set of numbers, the first number, the second number, or a combination of numbers allowed by the bookies.

The payouts vary from 9/1 to 999/1 for all India Satta Matka. There are players who have aced the Satta Matka game, but eventually, it’s a gamble.

Finally

IndianMatka games have become Maharashtra-oriented. Various draws come in the form of Milan, Rajdhani Day, Day Worli, Main Mumbai, Anik, and Main Maharashtra. These draws can be found on several websites.
