Great Cultural Experiences In Sydney For Students

Posted by BE.Accommodation on April 6th, 2021

You are never at a loss about what to do when you’re in Sydney, New South Wales. This incredible city has hundreds of years of history and is filled with cultural experiences to take in throughout its streets. Being right in Sydney is one of the many perks of staying at the best Student Housing Sydney has at Be. Accommodation. No matter if you are going with friends or want to make the most of some downtime after studying, there are plenty of amazing sights to see that are near you.

To help students make the most of their limited free time, we’ve spotlighted some of the best cultural experiences that Sydney has to offer below.

Sydney Opera House
Kicking off our list is the Sydney Opera House, which is the city’s most recognisable location. This incredible landmark has all kinds of experiences to take in from ballet to operas and classical music performances. We recommend taking a tour of the location so you can fully take in its incredible architecture and stopping by the Opera Bar in order to take in the sights of the Sydney Harbour.

Sydney Harbour Bridge
Another landmark that your Sydney stay isn’t complete without visiting is the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It has been a staple of the city since it opened in March 1932 and is still quite the spectacle to behold. A great way to view it is to take a ferry or to check it out from afar from the Circular Quay. You can also safely climb the bridge with a guide via BridgeClimb if you really want to do something memorable.

Art Gallery of New South Wales
Another one of the best cultural experiences in Sydney is the Art Gallery of New South Wales. It has been a great part of the city since 1871 and is filled with plenty of Australian history. There are pieces of art created by Indigenous Australians and international alike. One of Sydney’s other top museums, the Museum of Contemporary Art, partners with the Art Gallery of New South Wales each summer to bring in amazing exhibitions from all around the world to Sydney as well, which we can’t recommend enough.

Royal Botanic Gardens
Our final suggestion is the Royal Botanic Gardens, which were established in 1816. It’s one of the country’s oldest institutions and is still quite the gorgeous sight. Not only will you get to enjoy the gardens, but you get to soak in Aboriginal culture as you’ll learn about the Warrane and how these plants are used by the Cadigal people.

The great thing about staying at Be. Accommodation’s stellar Sydney student housing is that all of these great locales are close by. You won’t have to travel far to take in all of these incredible cultural experiences that will leave you with memories for the rest of your life.
