List of documents and Paper works for the Interview Candidates

The Interview for a candidate should start from the day when they are over with their Mains (written) examination. The Interview is very much influenced by the temperament you hold and the attitude you carry in your daily life.

Your documents put the most important of the first impression before your interviewer. You should be very organized and follow all the guidelines and checklists suggested by the UPSC and Previous year’s toppers.

The day and the time, you will enter the UPSC Building – Your Interview starts then and there in form of your temperament. You will be waiting for your turn and you will see a big door of fortune for you, but do not panic!! The people sitting inside the room are just human beings as you are!!

You just need to be organized!!!

List of the documents for UPSC / IAS Interview …

  1. Original Certificate of Matriculation or equivalent level (For the verification of Name and Date of Birth) also, the self-attested Photocopy of the same certificate.
  2. Original Degree certificate to prove the educational qualification (if you are an appearing candidate of final year and have not received the degree certificate, then produce the provisional certificate or mark – sheets) Also get a self -attested copy of the same certificate.
  3. Self-attested photocopy of degree.
  4. Marksheet of degree in Original format.
  5. Two passport-sized recent photographs. (one of the photographs should be self-attested.)
  6. Print of the E-Summon letter.
  7. Post-Graduation or higher studies certificate and mark sheet (If any)

List of the documents for students under reserved categories…

  1. Original and Photocopy format of caste certificate.
  2. Original and Photocopy format of Physical Disabilities Certificate.
  3. Candidates under PH-1 (LDCP) should carry DWE certificate.
  4. Certificates to support age relaxation criteria.
  5. Students from out station should bring journey proof with two copies of the TA form.
  6. Affidavit if needed for basic cases.
  7. For Medical Examination carry 8 to 10 passport-sized photographs, and recommended prescription.
