Planter Box

Have you ever looked at a modern planter box and wondered just exactly how beautiful it was? They have an undeniably heavenly look to them. A perfect balance of form and function, they will help you create an atmosphere that will make any garden look elegant and classy. These are without question some of the most beautiful gardening items you can buy.

These are absolutely stunning, and what they do, in reality, quite scream modernly chic. There's a very light, nearly sandy colored wooden base, which is totally painted gray on the outside. Her choice of plant materials was quite simply to go with some large, bold, green plants all standing alone in the middle of the wood. It has an almost beachy look to it, and it looks absolutely stunning.

These really are a perfect example of how a good, sturdy planter box can be used for more than just holding plants. One of the great things about wooden gardens is that you can get some pretty lovely, natural looking colored wood for them. One drawback to using this method however, is that since there's no real way of defining the type of wood used, the quality can vary quite a bit. If your wooden garden planters don't look as though they were made from sustainable wood, then your efforts could be put to waste.

Another thing to keep in mind is the difficulty of building a box from scratch. If you're not a pro at woodworking, then the idea of pouring a whole pile of scrap wood, arranging it properly, and then adding a top layer isn't really likely to appeal to you. This doesn't mean you shouldn't try to build a box, but you'll need to be willing to either pay someone else to build one for you, or figure out how to build your own. If you don't have access to scrap wood, then maybe a box that's made out of strong cardboard is just what you need. You can get a cardboard planter box in just about any size you'd like, including small, medium, large and even oversized.

Scrap wood is a great source for building a box, but if you want a less expensive option, then you could always try to make a box from a wooden piece of furniture. For instance, maybe you've got some old oak furniture laying around? This is probably one of the easiest types of furniture to work with when building a planter box. All you need to do is take some old, cracked or broken pieces of oak and cut them into whatever shape you want. Make sure the pieces are all straight and square though, or your box might be unstable.

Of course, there are many more options for this project, such as using something like PVC instead of oak or pine. You could also use whichever type of recycled material suits your needs best. The important thing to remember when working with materials like these is to make sure they're strong enough to hold the weight of a person or any other objects that might be placed inside. Also, you should make sure the front porch of your house is clean. This way, your wooden planter box will be safe from pests. Many times, pests find their food somewhere else, so placing a box near your house that's easy to clean can be a great idea.

One other type of DIY project that you could do on your front porch is to build a raised planter box instead of a traditional one. Raised planter boxes are also commonly known as patio planters. These are simply planters that are built up higher on the ground, usually in the middle of your yard, rather than being placed in a corner or against a wall. Because of the extra space available, this type of wood is perfect for any corner or tucked-in spaces in your house, and it's the perfect substitute for using a wood in box.

There are plenty of ways that DIY projects can benefit your yard and house, but maybe the best part about building a wooden planter box or any other DIY project is that it doesn't require a lot of tools or materials. Most of what you need can be found at your local home improvement store, or even in the junk pile. All you need is a hammer, a screwdriver, some nails, some wood shims and some cedar. That's it. Then you just sit back and enjoy! If you're tired of seeing your yard looking the same old way year after year, why not do something about it?
