The upcoming FIFA 16 is set to hit consoles and PC come September this year. However, recent issues surrounding the FIFA organization might just affect the game in any way. Or will it?

In an analytical report over Forbes, the recent happenings surrounding FIFA as an organization might have a ripple effect that extends up to the popular video game franchise. FIFA President Sepp Blatter recently announced his resignation from the top position, following numerous corruption allegations and scandals with regards to soccers governing organization.

The FIFA Game franchise is undeniably the best-selling sports game of all time, setting a record of 12.3 million copies of FIFA 12 sold within a single week only-beating other sporting video games like Madden, NHL, NBA, and other games. But still, fans of the game are fans of the game no matter what.

FIFA 16 features, for the first time in franchise history, players form the Womens National Teams. Teams available to play are from Germany, USA, France, Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Spain, China, and Mexico. However, fantasy matchups of Mens National Teams versus Womens National Teams are not possible since the ladies can only be pit against their fellow female players.

For the latest instalment, FIFA 16 will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, the Xbox One and Xbox 360, and on Windows PC only this coming September. Noticeably, previous consoles and platforms were not included in the release, such as handhelds like the PlayStation Portable and the PS Vita.
