Spurs Team News for Today'sGame

Today's Spurs are having a day off, so they will be without one of the most exciting and young stars in the NBA. This is because Spurs' Manu Ginobili is still undergoing the physical therapy needed to recover from surgery. He underwent surgery to repair a ruptured plantar fascia in his right foot that ultimately led to his needing surgery. He will miss this season and could miss the entire year if the Spurs decide not to play him this week due to his injury.

The Spurs lost to the Orlando Magic on Sunday night, a game in which they were completely outplayed by the Magic. The loss dropped the Spurs to 4th place in the Western Conference. They will need to go on a winning streak to stay in first place in the conference, but beating the lowly Magic won't be easy. The Magic are still tied with the Jazz for the third place in the Eastern Conference.

After Monday's loss to the Magic, the Spurs are back on the road for their next game. They host the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night. This game could have a big impact on who is in first place in the Northwest. If the Trailblazers lose this game, then there is a strong chance that the Spurs will win the Central Division. The Blazers are currently only a half game behind the Spurs and the Pistons.

Saturday's Spurs Pistons game was another lackluster performance by the bench-warming San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs never found a rhythm, struggled from three-point range, and committed too many turnovers to win. Miami was simply too much for the Spurs to handle. The game ended with a scoreless overtime, when the Heat finally scored three points in the extra ข่าวทีมสเปอร์.

The Spurs are still without their leading scorers Manu Ginobili and Tiago Splitter. Splitter is still out with a sore back. Ginobili is expected to miss time with a dislocated finger. Without those two key players, the Spurs will have some trouble getting to go against a top-notch team like the Pistons. Luckily, the Heat have been playing very good basketball lately, especially when injuries like Splitter and Al Harrington are factored into the equation. The Heat are a legitimate threat to take the West at least through the regular season.

As the Spurs prepare for their tilt against the Pistons, there is some talk coming from San Antonio that possibly Manu Ginobili might be traded to the Detroit Pistons. Whether or not this is true, it does not change the fact that the Spurs are in the midst of a tough schedule. If the NBA playoffs are moved back to a best-of-seven format, the Spurs will need all the points they can get against the Pistons. With that said, here are some other notes on the team to keep an eye on:

o Backup big man Ben Wallace is questionable for tonight's tilt against the Pistons because of a left hamstring issue. If Wallace cannot go, it will be a big game for the Bucks moving forward without him. I'm expecting big things from Wallace tonight, but it's important to keep in mind that he is still only one year away from free agency. He also turns 31 years old in April.

o Kyle Lowry is questionable for tomorrow's game because of a stiff neck. He underwent an MRI on his shoulder and is questionable for tomorrow's tilt against the Pistons. NBA game timing is everything in today's NBA and the Bucks need to get this win over the Pistons even with Lowry out. They need this win more than anything else right now. NBA East division series.
