Private Medical Insurance ?Examples of three Plans to Consider

Posted by datahealthconsultancy on July 14th, 2015

Finding the best medical insurance plans that will suit you and your family can be hard. That is why it is best to seek the help of a professional. Private insurance companies provide different levels of coverage which can make it confusing for some policy holders to get a quote that matches their needs from every company in the UK. Shopping for the right coverage that is tailored to your needs will take a lot of work and consume a lot of time. DataHealth consultancy acts on your behalf to find the perfect private medical insurance plan that suits your needs is straightforward. Let us look at three examples of health insurance companies that offer beneficial plans, which cater to the different need of customers.

1.    Comprehensive
Aviva is one of the top choices for many policy holders when it comes to private health plans. The best thing about a comprehensive plan is that it covers Full Out-Patient medical costs such as consultations, tests, and treatments. Even psychiatric care and other alternative treatments such as osteopathy, acupuncture, and chiropractic are covered. Apart from that, the policy holder can also benefit from home nursing, oral, dental, and optical cover.  What’s great about Aviva is that it offers other insurance benefits including extensive cancer cover, radiotherapy/chemotherapy and other modern tech support such as 24 hour stress counselling helpline, 24 hour GP helpline, and the newly introduced 7 GP video consultations.

2.    Mid-range
AXA PPP is one of the leading insurers offering the best and low-cost private health insurance policies. This company offers a range of different covers, for example £1000 of Out-patient —a lower price than comprehensive plans. So, instead of, paying for example £95 monthly, with a mid-range plan, the cost will be reduce to around £64 monthly. The higher you opt to pay for an excess the lower your monthly subscription premium will become. However, like other UK Private Medical Insurance plans, this does not  cover emergency treatments and  chronic ongoing health conditions such as diabetes, multiple sclerosis,  Asthma, and  Hypertension to name a few.

3.    Budget
Now if you are looking for a private medical insurance that covers very little on the out-patient side of things, you can choose a budget plan, which is by far the most affordable policy from these three examples.   Both AVIVA and AXA-PPP insurance company provide budget plans.  Basically these budget plans cover full in-patient and day-case treatments plus some out-patient diagnostic tests like CAT, MRI, PET scans. However, keep in mind that, this does not offer what comprehensive and mid-range plans cover -such as out-patient consultations with a consultant, X-rays and blood tests.

Getting the right insurance plan that fits your needs within your budget has become easier with these leading health insurance companies.  Familiarize yourself with their policies and choose the one that suits your needs best.
