People love to watch the latest football results. It's one of those things that seems to always be there whenever you are bored or in need of some entertainment. I can't remember the last time I was glued to the TV when the latest football results were on. Whenever there was an international break, I would wait until the rest of the world had gone asleep and then tune into the TV for the latest football results. It was great, I will admit.

But is the latest football results the best source of news? In a way it can be. Sure there are plenty of other sources of news that are often more entertaining and interesting than watching the latest football results. But you have to ask yourself if it's really necessary to read about the latest win of a team in the UK when you could get some interesting and useful information about some other 7m.

You have to admit, if the latest football results was the only source of news about your favourite team and that team was in the Premiers League then it wouldn't make that much of a difference to you. It would probably be more interesting to see if Harry Potter managed to win the Triwimple. Maybe, if Wayne Rooney scored a hat trick against arch rivals Manchester United. But it doesn't have to be that way. Sometimes it's better to have the latest football results than the latest football scores. But is that the most important thing?

Some people say that if the latest football results is so important then why do we bother with anything else? Because sports is fun right? I don't know about you but I like to watch sport with my family and especially football. I love watching highlights of games that I used to play and now I enjoy reading up about the latest results so I can keep track of the players and teams.

Sometimes I don't even want to go on the internet because of the latest football results. I am too lazy. I have heard about people who spend all day online checking for the latest football results and who end up glued to their computers when the result is announced. I don't think it's fair to my family or friends to subject them to that.

However, there are some people who love the thrill of following the latest football results and who would never let anything stop them. They will log on to their computer and check the latest news before lunch. Then by the end of the day they'll be up and running around the house trying to find out what the latest football results were. Of course if their friends or family also spend time online checking for the latest football results then they probably won't mind either.

In fact the latest football results are so important to us that we now wait for them as well. My husband keeps one eye on the matches and the other is on the latest news. I often join in on the debate about the latest football results. I often wonder how many people are actually watching the matches and checking out the news. It must be a huge industry.

I'm not sure whether it's just our generation that follows the latest football results. Perhaps we are more fascinated by the TV game than the actual game. I remember growing up and getting all excited with the start of a new season. The first few games seemed fine but then invariably we would lose by a certain margin. Now I know I would have loved to have kept track of the latest football stats and actually discovered what the difference was in some of the matches.
