VPN service is a secure network system that primarily hides the user location and provides a secure network chain for communication. Usually, we use the local network provided by the service providers which allows them to intrude into the browsing history, personal information, data, and even financial information. You can easily be a victim of unexpected hacking if someone targets you. Even your trusted ISP connection provider might be hacked. VPN gives encryption and secures personal and other information, keeps potential data hidden, and secures from external threats.

The dominance of the internet in our daily life is undeniable especially, during the coronavirus period. It is balancing our social, business, personal, and work life. But we have to focus on our safety.

During the pandemic, the Usage of VPN has increased exponentially. Since people are stuck at home most of the activities are conducted online. The usage of VPN increased for few reasons:

  • The mode of business has been converted online; owners want a secure network to conduct their activities securing their business information and customer’s privacy.

  •  Information theft: Other businesses, websites, and businesses try to smuggle information by hacking since Wi-Fi is not always secured to use.

  • Most of the payments are done online during the pandemic where you provide your debit, credit, and MasterCard number and pin codes.

  • VPN speeds up data traffic which helps to work smoothly.

  • Countries with severe internet usage restrictions use VPN a lot.

  • During the virus spread, people communicate more virtually than personally. For securing privacy and reliability people use VPN.

  • During the pandemic, the Government imposes new restrictions on traders which impede their regular income. To barricade any insurgency among people, the internet is slowed down. Then, the regular users adopt VPN for regular use and speed.

  • Work from home is one of the basic reasons.

  • Research work and confidentiality: This emergency leads to many R&D which need privacy and protection.

According to the VPN service provider, the demand for Free VPN has surged dramatically. Few companies buy VPN packages to secure their work network and information exchange. But for personal use, people tend to look for free ones. This situation is most common in places where strict lockdowns are announced and regular network supply is uncertain.
