India's state-run National Aluminium Co (NALCO) (NALU.BO: Quote) said on Tuesday it sees profit for the fiscal year ending March rising 23 percent to 10.05 billion rupees (3 million), with sales rising to 57.77 billion rupees.

The country's third-largest producer of aluminium had reported net profit of 8.14 billion rupees, on revenue of 51.8 billion, for the fiscal year 2009/10.

NALCO's net profit in 2011/12 starting April will go up to 10.98 billion rupees, on net sales of 64.95 billion, the company said in an investor presentation.

Last month, the company said its production target will fall about 100,000 tonnes short of 1.68 million tonnes of alumina in the fiscal year to March, due to delays in refinery expansion.
