Have you ever tried to attain a goal but attained mediocre outcomes?

It's important because your skills determine your ability to execute your aims with achievement.

Imagine a carpenter trying to construct a home. He has, though, a flimsy hammer and a tiny screwdriver. Without the proper tools such as a hand saw, he can not turn those raw materials into home building bits.

It's the same with goal accomplishment. In goal accomplishment, your abilities are your resources. The home is your objective. As you need the right tools to construct a house, you will need the right skills to construct your goal. Without the ideal skills, you will just frustrate yourself, waste your own time, and spend a good deal of time coping with fundamental issues caused by the lack of knowledge or lack of abilities, rather than progressing in your goal. Whilst problem and struggle is a part and parcel of any goal pursuit, without the right skills, you end up struggling more than necessary. Worse still, this struggle is unconstructive and doesn't help you proceed.

There are 2 big reasons:

Primarily, individuals tend to be impressed with what others have achieved without understanding what they went through to get there. We view their accolades and victories, and make gross assumptions about what it takes to succeed. Then we become disappointed when we attempt the goal, just to learn that it is not as easy as it appears.

This is quite common in blogging. People today see big name internet"gurus" earning 6--7 figure income from blogging. Believing that it is simple, and possibly perpetuated from the claims of said gurus who happen to market you courses claiming to help you do exactly the same, these folks start blogging as well, expecting to attain the very same effects in a quick period of time. We look at how successful others are -- the top coaches, internet gurus, award-winning performers, winners of their society -- and conclude that we can not attain the identical . What we see as"talent" in others is the end result of the 10,000 hours of hard work where raw fire and human capacity are turned into hard abilities. Skills development is where we flip from beginner to novice, to intermediate, to senior, to expert. And henceforth, acquiring the ability to conquer our goal.
