Intelligent Control Rooms:

Technological solutions that use screens to empower businesses are not only an effective tool for acting in the face of customers, but also for the convenience and updating of business information. While it is true that changing prices and issuing product offers in real time is very useful to communicate, there are also other uses that are focused on security and monitoring.

In this sense, industrial control room represent a support for large companies. Through monitors, it is possible for different companies in sectors such as banking, mining, or retail, among others, to keep track of what is happening in all their business areas.

In this way, and in the event of any alert, it is possible to be aware of the information in real time and thus make decisions instantly. In this area, Samsung Electronics is the leading company in Digital Signage in the country and around the world.

"Advanced monitoring was impossible under the old model of monitoring that companies had. Many of them used TVs and thick-edged screens with lots of cables and devices, making the work in control rooms not neat. That's the old-fashioned way of doing it. Currently, however, there are solutions and technologies such as those we have developed in Samsung that deliver a very different picture, "says Alvaro Amar, Professional Display Solutions Manager of Samsung Electronics Chile.

And at the same time, Alvaro insists that control rooms are key to the security of companies. "We are talking about places where any risky or unusual behavior is alerted. In that sense, the intelligence and effectiveness used to obtain images in these units has an impact on the business; just think of banking, for example, where nothing can be random and the need for more demanding visualization is a reality," the executive stresses.

Some of the products that can provide a different experience within these rooms are the Videowall, monitors called Standalone for 24/7 use or the new Modular LED technology, recently launched by the Korean company, which differ from ordinary TVs to operate centrally and intelligently.

For example, the Videowall, for its dimensions and features makes it easier to manage the equipment, as it has visual options which, upon detecting an anomalous activity, notify the user giving the possibility to zoom in, enlarge and prioritize. The user can decide the display layout in real time, mixing in a single image or multiple sources, such as: IP cameras, remote desktops, web pages, applications, HDMI and DVI inputs, etc. All this in a flexible interface, configurable according to the requirements of each operator.
