This article provides details about FEMA that help in disaster through registration in systems for award management.

Do you know who FEMA are? What work they do? Let me first tell you about FEMA. Its full form is Federal Emergency Management Agency. It provides approved data for stakeholders to grasp in value-added ways like research, development of the app, analysis, etc. Its goal is to provide data for public benefit by posting and refreshing datasets and to achieve meaningful results through registration. FEMA Contractor Registration is a federal agency which helps the registered vendor to develop their business affected by a disaster like a hurricane, tornado, etc. FEMA provides budget related to disaster areas.

What it is about?

FEMA continues to work with local, federal government in response to disasters relief. In order to qualify for FEMA contracts, one must have to register a profile in Dun and Bradstreet, the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). They have to register their business with Systems for Award Management (SAM). The contractors have lots of money therefore they bid on complete setup job. There is a possibility of crooked contractors so beware of them checking on the site of FEMA because contractors have to register themselves to help the people from disaster. They have to take care of disaster prone things of people.

Registered vendors across many companies are a desire to prepare contractual opportunities to help in disaster relief. There will certainly need for waste removal, construction services, and emergency supplies also goods and services as well as for helping in flood, hurricane, etc. prone area. People have to register their profile as soon as possible thereby to help from a storm or any other natural calamity. You should have an insurance of everything that is in your house so that after a disaster you get the specific budget to retain your business and your home and your basic needs.

After disaster strikes in different areas, resources and manpower must be immediately organized by FEMA. To take help from FEMA, contractors have to complete their registration and update the data about the loss of things or values like vehicles, property, etc. as soon as possible from the disaster. They have to register their personal property loss with FEMA apart from disaster insurance. In 2008, Mumbai experienced a flood, many families was not able to connect with their loved ones, not get the power supply, food, even they had to leave their homes for the sake of their lives. Some of their belongings also destroyed in the flood. More than 500 people lost their loved ones. Whole Mumbai came to a halt. From this example, I just want to say that FEMA help to take out from these types of disasters and provide disaster relief tents.

FEMA should be able to save at least 50% loss to contractors and give 15-20% workforce of step up services.
