Choosing the right fabric for your chairs takes a lot of aspects into consideration. Apart from color and design selection which is also an important part of making an upholstery fabric choice, the fabric type itself is the biggest consideration involved in choosing the right fabric for chairs. The following factors are aspects to look out for when making your upholstery fabric choice.

The Durability of Fabric

How durable the fabric you intend to use is depends on where you intend to use it, either in your home or in your office. If you are getting fabrics for your living room chairs that your children and pets would frequently use, then a microfiber or leather fabric should be considered since this can withstand heavy use. Denser fabrics with woven pattern last longer than printed fabrics therefore for high traffic areas and heavy use consideration, they can be used.

The Style of Fabric

A fabric style that blends with the color and theme of your home should be used. The style should also look good on your sofa. The fabric chosen should go with the style and design of the chairs to be covered. You can also blend two styles and design to give you an adventurous sense if it goes well with you.

The scale of the pattern to be used should also be considered. An appropriate pattern to go with the chairs and the room size should be used. A large bold pattern will work well in a large room and a smaller patternwill work better in a smaller space.

Fabric Color

Colors are often the first yardstick for fabric selection since it is the color we first see when making our choice as such it makes the strongest impact. Be sure to make your color one that you will be happy about for a long time. Bold colors for small rooms that have large furniture will make the room feel crowded and small but with tempered colors, it will give the room a larger look.

In making the right chair fabric selection, some other considerations are necessary such as determining the fade resistance of your choice fabric, the mildew resistance for homes that can be exceptionally cold and if they can cause allergies to the people living in the house or using the offices.

Chair Fabric Fade Resistance: If your chairs will be placed in a room that is exposed to much sunlight or placed close to a window or door, it would be necessary to check the extent of fade resistance of the fabric.

Chair Fabric Mildew Resistance: If your home is located in an area that has humid climate or in a very cold house, check to see if the fabric you have chosen has mildew resistance.

Allergy Free:To avoid certain allergies, choose microfiberfabrics that are lint free and do not attract dust.

Pet Friendly: Choose fabrics that are pet friendly for your chairs. Avoid chair fabrics that have lots of texture such as silk. For more info please visit as- http://yorkshirefabricshop.com/
