The Dayara Bugyal trek is one of the shorter hikes in the Himalayas, but it is not without its challenges. The allure of snow-capped hills, sprawling meadows, and the all-consuming thrill of a summit. Dayara, an alpine meadow known locally as "Buggyal," is surrounded by thick alpine forest at an elevation of over 11000 feet. It is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand's Garhwal division. The green meadow is littered with myriads of tiny flowers during the summer and monsoon. In the winter, the meadow is blanketed in new snow. Bakriya peak, on the Bugyal's crest, offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view.
