All You Need to Know About the Perfect Gift Hamper

Hampers baskets are one of the best choices to express your feeling and gratitude to someone.

It is actuality, and a hamper is "a collection of food and drink items, usually described as gifts and sometimes involve a hamper basket". In an earlier post, we examined the history of the hamper. Nevertheless, I feel the term is still unclear, and I'd like it to put that uncertainty to rest in this blog. There is usually trouble with the term “Hamper Baskets “due to natural differences between different countries.

For instance, in North America, the time is used to represent a basket to store fresh laundry. We (in the UK) referred to as a hamper that American people would call a "gift basket". As a company that sends hampers to the UK and share hampers worldwide, you can see how these subtle distinctions in purpose can be difficult for us. After all, we don't require somebody in North America who's demanding a laundry basket to get a luxury wine and cheese gourmet hampers (do we?).

What’s included in a Hamper?

There isn’t a written rule prescribing what can and can’t be involved in a hamper in terms of contents of hampers. However, it is combinations that are more popular than others. Here is a list of the most famous examples of Gift hampers.

1. Bespoke Hampers

Online hamper providers have an online tool that enables people to create their personalized hamper to send to friends, relatives, or co-workers (or even keep for themselves). The point that the ‘Create Your Own’ tool is famous is quite telling of the nature of the hamper market as it stands. People don’t like limitations on what they should cover in their hamper, and every person has their sense of what a hamper should be, which makes ‘Create Your Own’ so popular.

2. Christmas Hampers

Christmas is generally a hectic time of year for hamper providers because hampers are often a trend in the festive season. Hamper dealers have a variety of Christmas Hampers. However, the most popular ones generally include wine, cheese, chocolate, and a mix of another traditional festive season.

 3. Chocolate and Biscuit Hampers

This doesn’t come to much of a surprise to me (who doesn’t love chocolate and biscuits?). Another cause of these hampers are so famous is that they’re fit for pretty much any event. Whether you’re responding thank you to somebody, giving a birthday gift to a family member, or celebrating retirement, these hampers baskets are fit for any scenario.

4. Wine and Cheese

As far as good couples go, some go together quite like wine and cheese. It simply is a classic mixture. If you’ve ever admired why cheese and wine complement each other so well, here’s the science.

5. Prosecco and Chocolate

Traditionally, Gift hampers would be mainly food-based which was later accelerated by the inclusion of wine. As taste and trends change, so do the content of famous gift hampers. The constant rise of Prosecco in the UK and other regions has been brilliant. Although Prosecco is frequently seen as Champagne’s younger, more affordable sibling, you cannot reject the sales stats of the sparkling white wine over the last half-decade. It just happened so that it goes well with some delicious chocolate truffles.

What will hampers look like in the future?

Although there’ll always be a place for the traditional big wicker Hamper Baskets around specific times of the year, I feel the idea of a ‘hamper’ will continue to be re-thought, and people will begin to notice them in different ways other than the tradition of a big one-off purchase. In reality, instead of an annual treat, we hope to see hampers being bought as little gifts at any time of the year (as they should be!).
