Social Designs is an emerging discipline concerned with the interaction of human beings in complex environments. Social design is a branch of visual culture, which is concerned with the practice of visual communications and social design. This is an extremely important area of study due to the increasing pressure of environmental issues and the growing concerns for the sustainability of our planet.

Social design is really the application of visual culture methodology to address complex social issues, putting the social problems at the top of the agenda. In the past social architects have been aware of their social responsibility and role in society, and also of their limited role in the visual design process. With the advent of complex social issues such as climate change, environmental awareness and the like, this has changed. Nowadays it is not unusual to see architectural experts influencing the design of buildings and landscapes by applying social principles. Achieving sustainable architecture requires a comprehensive approach across all disciplines of architecture.

The challenge facing social architects today is that the global population has become more affluent and expectations of modern living have changed. People want a quality lifestyle, which can be fulfilled through sustainable architecture. Unfortunately, the architecture of the present day lacks sufficient understanding and exposure to social issues and needs. In order to make their mark, social architects must combine knowledge with creativity to create a building that enhances the lives of people and the environment.

The practice of social designing started in the 1970s and has since become very popular. As architects became more involved in social work and contributed to the greater good of society, they also became more skilled and sought new challenges. As social design evolved, these architects discovered that the traditional methods of designing, such as 3D computer generated modeling and high-tech visualization, were unsuitable for complex social situations. They began to look for alternative ways of approaching design. This innovative mindset has helped pave the way towards today's sustainable building practices.

One of the most important advances in this field was the establishment of office spaces that were designed to socialize and encourage interaction among employees. The main purpose of office spaces is to ensure that employees are given the opportunity to socialize and build relationships with other colleagues. The effectiveness of an office space is greatly dependent on its layout. Office spaces must not only accommodate the needs of the staff but also encourage interaction and communication. The design of an office space therefore is dependent on the needs of its users. Some of these needs include basic needs, such as adequate floor space, privacy and access to equipment and amenities.

In the past, social landscape architecture focused on the visual impact that the design would have on the surrounding area. However, new technology and contemporary methods of socializing have created a need for designs that impact the social landscape. The main concerns in the social landscape design process include creating an environment that is pleasing to the senses, promotes interaction and builds relationships among people.

There are several advantages of implementing a social landscape architecture design into an office or company environment. The first advantage is that it promotes unity within the business. It encourages employees to socialize with one another, which promotes better productivity and improves overall organization. Furthermore, a well-designed social landscape can improve the flow of information and communication within the office.

Overall, social landscapes have changed the way we live our lives. We no longer want to be left behind by those around us. The development of new technology and the incorporation of social practices into many businesses have caused an increase in the awareness of social spaces and their importance in creating a harmonious workplace.
