There are thousands of students who undergo Six Sigma training every year. And why not? For an organization and its nominated employees, Six Sigma training and certification is a win-win situation. The organization is able to add to its profits through process improvements and the nominated employees are able to add more to their professional profiles. Lean Six Sigma green belt classes are conducted across institutions across the world and some of them make these programs more than worthwhile. Depending upon experience, an employee may also go through a Lean Six Sigma blackbelt course and add value to themselves and their organization.

Lean Six Sigma green belt classes allow an individual to prepare for their green belt certification. In the hierarchy of Six Sigma, the green belt is the first belt. Once someone is green belt certified, they can assist in various Six Sigma projects that are run by their organization. They form part of the project teams and add value by collecting data and assisting black belts. This may not sound much considering the effort one has to put, but a green belt has every chance of earning the other higher belts as they continue to be associated with various Six Sigma projects.

Lean Six Sigma projects are run like standard Six Sigma projects. Instead of eliminating defects in processes (as it happens in Six Sigma), Lean Six Sigma involves eliminating wastes. Various people work on these projects and a green belt also forms an important part of the team. As one goes through their Lean Six Sigma green belt classes, they can continue to add more value to the projects. And when the project leader sees that an individual has the potential, they are able to recommend the individual for a black belt.

The Lean Six Sigma blackbelt course is more complex in nature and is meant for someone who has successfully managed Six Sigma projects as a green belt. A green belt is given the task of leading Six Sigma project teams and if they are good at their job in project execution, they can then start looking to earn their black belt.

However, whether it is Lean Six Sigma green belt classes or a Lean Six Sigma blackbelt course, the amount of effort required is immense. You join a top institute and you are trained by a master black belt. These people are unforgiving and even a small mistake could cost you a lot. Going through your classes means being totally into them – you cannot miss a beat. People talk about online classes, but it has been seen that the rigor and discipline is more when the classes are attended offline, i.e. face-to-face.

If you have joined Lean Six Sigma green belt classes, you better put all your effort into it. Earning your certification is a big achievement. The effort is more for a Lean Six Sigma blackbelt course, but when you think of what you stand to achieve, you make sure you give it your best shot.

It doesn’t matter if you are going through your Lean Six Sigma green belt classes or your Lean Six Sigma blackbelt course, you must put in your best foot forward.
