Jonathan Brown sticks his chin out for a new role in fashion

RETIRED Brisbane strongman Jonathan Brown has a new calling as a fashion plate.

And a bit of cosmetic surgery might even be soon in the offing.

Brown, his wife Kylie and children have been signed as ambassadors for Target Australia.

But the big bruiser, who was renowned for some of the bravest acts on the footy field, is finding difficulty coping with the rigors of posing for the camera.

He discussed his new role and a fashion shoot last week during his regular breakfast slot on Nova 100 on Monday.

Brown said he and Kylie had joined some of the biggest names in fashion like Dannii Minogue and Jessica Mauboy.

But he added he had become concerned during the photo session with Kylie about his double chin incurred by his football injuries.

Kylie had taught him to push his chin out, he said, but it made him look like a bulldog.

Brown said that after about 10 photographs, the snapper asked him to open his eyes.

“I told him they are open,” he said.

Instead of supporting him, Brown said Kylie told the snapper: “Yes, I have been telling him he needs an eye lift for quite a while.”

His double chin problem aside, the Brown clan also managed to give the make-up girl a scare during the photo shoot.

Brown said his two-year-old son Jack already has a penchant for blondes.

When the beautiful blonde make-up girl arrived, Jack went straight up to her for a cuddle.

The only problem was Jack had just been sent home from kindergarten with a mild case of foot and mouth.

When Kylie told the make-up girl about it, she couldn’t run out of the place quickly enough.
