What?s the difference between new faucets and old faucets? Money, that?s what.

If you’re an LA person with old style faucets, you may not be surprised to learn that your old faucets are costing you money. Compared to the new tech faucets coming on the market, they’re way past expiry date. The problem, of course, is that inefficient water usage is expensive, and these things make sure you’re using more water than you need.

The bottom line here is based on better ways of managing water. Some years back, a study was done on how people use water. The study found that it was more a matter of how much time was used on washing, rather than how much water was used. New tech is based on things like this. For example, new fittings like new shower heads deliver less water, but give you more time, because the water is delivered more slowly. The “less water” factor also saves you money by using less gas or electricity, too, of course.

Another major deal is that new faucets do more than their predecessors. There’s even a type of kitchen faucet which can carbonate and chill water, and also be used as an ordinary faucet. If you’re thinking that this is a new and much better ball game for consumers, you’re quite right.

For a good look at the new plumbing tech coming on the market, the go-to place in LA is a company called Pyramid Pipe & Supply Co., a plumbing supplies firm in Canoga Park, near Van Nuys. This company stocks 17,000 products and 161different brands.  Check out the new Grohe range of CAL Green sustainable fitting and Grohe bathroom faucets for good examples of the very best in the new technologies.

For more information and what’s very likely to be a good money-saving exercise for the home budget, see their website here at www.pyramidpipe.com.
