Scenic Austria is increasingly popular for school ski trips.

Salzburg and Vienna are wonderful monuments of Austria’s past as a major European power. These days it’s a cordial, welcoming country proud of its traditions but keen to embrace modernity. Austrian ski resorts are up to date, and a feature an ever increasing number of exclusive luxury spa resorts, despite the upmarket nature of many Austrian resorts, Austria is amazingly good value compared to French resorts.

Austrian ski schools are famous for their friendliness and ease, and one of the great features of Austrian ski instruction is that the tutors can be flexible with regards to any special lesson requests during the week.

Glacier ski areas and great snow records coupled with a good variety of slopes makes it ideal for school ski trip groups. Most resorts in Austria also offer very modern facilities such as ski lifts and 4 or 5 star hotels.

Our favourite Austrian resort is Bad Kleinkirchheim, and we often accommodate school ski trips at Camp Royal X which suits everybody.

Goldeck, in the Carinthian Alps, is another resort that is proving to be popular with skiers and boarders alike, it provides a stunning environment for school ski trips. It is also one of the sunniest areas in Carinthia.

Katschberg is our insider tip amongst Austrian ski resorts. At 1640 metres high it has an impressive season which lasts through the Easter holidays. You will notice an absence of lift queues here, which is a refreshing change to French resorts.

Katschberg is also home to the newly-created A1 ‘Autobahn’ 6km long ski run. Alongside, there are a number of easy blue runs near the village which are perfect for beginners, whilst the other side of the resort is mainly red and great for intermediates with all runs taking you back into the village.

The atmosphere in and around the resort is one which encourages young skiiers to enjoy winter sports and the short runs and areas near the village are exclusively for children.

Nestled in the Pyrenees Mountains between France and Spain, Andorra offers fantastic value as well high altitude skiing and duty-free shopping.

Andorra has a good range of resorts suitable for school ski trips, most of which are very well suited to intermediates and beginners. In fact, Andorra is a great place to learn to ski and its ski school facilities are excellent - the schools here win awards for English speaking ski programs.

You may want to take advantage of Grandvalira, one of Europe’s largest ski regions. But with over 210km of slopes in total there is plenty of variety for all abilities. It also has dedicated kids areas, freestyle parks and off-piste slopes.

The other notable Andorra ski region, Vallnord, comprises Arinsal, Pal, and Ordino-Arcalis resorts.

There are many quiet resorts in Andorra very well suited for groups of all ages.

We personally inspect each ski resort we offer to ensure they are a top class option for your school ski group. We carefully select by safety, suitability and value for money. These are the priorities for teachers & group leaders alike and our aim is to make the whole process of arranging and organising your ski trip a stress-free one.

In each resort we have detailed a programme of suitable evening entertainment and you can now choose either these individual entertainment options or the complete bundle at the prices we’ve quoted you.

Most resorts have a selection of multi-bedded rooms, private facilities, dining rooms, games rooms & ski or boot rooms that are perfect for  school ski trips.
