5 Mexican Candies You Should Try

Mexican candies are a lot like their culture and food – colorful and full of flavors. It’s not for the faint-of-heart but a gustatory exploration. There are a lot of Mexican candies that boast of a combination of various flavors such as spicy, sour, sweet, and salty.

1. Obleas

3. Palanqueta

These sweet, sour, and spicy candies are made from real tamarind. The flesh of tamarind is turned into a paste and mixed with either piloncillo syrup or sugar. The spicy kick is from the chili pepper powder incorporated in it.

5. Chicle
