The candyfloss effect

Lily Allen rocks chic striped trouser suit while chewing on her pink hair at Vivienne Westwood's London Fashion Week show

Lily Allen claimed she was determined to prove her critics wrong after it was reported that her life was spiralling out of control.

And on Sunday evening, the mother-of-two, 30, headed to a couple of events in the space of a few hours, first wowing at the Pan movie premiere and then the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show as part of London Fashion Week.

She certainly drew the eye as she arrived at the stylish LFW event, rocking candyfloss-coloured bright pink hair extentions, cutting a stark contrast against her slick, androgynous outfit.

The star teamed a black and grey striped skinny trousers with a matching blazer, worn over a taupe knit.

Adding a contrast to the look, she also wore a pair of cute leopard print heels with a Mary-Jane strap, and a pair of toirtoise-shell sunglasses with bright blue lenses.

But it was her hair that really stole the show, and it seems Lily herself mistook her fairytale tresses for candyfloss as she was seen chewing on the lengths as she made her way into the fashion icon's Spring/Summer 2016 showcase.

Lily looked relaxed as she walked through the British capital's streets to head to Westwood's show, before seating herself on the prestigious front row.

Style sensation: She added some extra inches to her look with a pair of black suede ankle boots and carried a trusty lime green Chanel bag across her body which added a further pop of colour to her look

There she removed her mannish jacket to reveal that her top was not as expected, and was a polo-shirt style garment complete with primary colour stripes on the collar and sleeve cuffs.

Earlier in the day, the singer had rocked up at the star-studded Pan world premiere, alongside the likes of Hugh Jackman, Cara Delevingne and Rooney Mara.

She had looked cute in a denim mini dress which she teamed with black and silver metallic tights.

But her second ensemble of the day was the more obviously stylish, and she looked in great spirits as she mingled with others at the fashion event, which was typically anarchic in style.

Lizzie Jagger was one of the famous faces at the show, walking the runway in the legendary Brit designer's new wares, while her face was covered in bizarre black paint in a messy strip across her eyes.

The theme of the show was a flash mob - or rather a Fash Mob - with the models and Vivienne staging a fake protest on the runway in the colourful, punky designs.

Vivienne used the show as her way to continue her anti-fracking protest.

Meanwhile, Lily was recently forced to hit back at claims that suggest her ‘life is spiralling out of control'.

Taking to her social media sites on Wednesday, she insisted that any speculation has made her more ‘determined’ to prove it all wrong.

She tweeted: ‘im not entertaining the absolute rubbish the papers are smearing me with. Rest assured, I am fine, very in control of my life, on the way’ [sic].

Later adding: ‘The harder you push me the more determined I am to prove you wrong.’

Pan is tipped to be one of the biggest movies of the year, and is a reworking of the iconic Neverland-based fairytale.

It stars Australian hunk Hugh as leading man Blackbeard, with Cara portraying a mermaid. Rooney takes on the role of Tiger Lily, Garrett plays baddie Hook, and Peter Pan has been brought to life by young up and coming star Levi Miller.
