For sale reps, being an impressive orator is one of the must-have qualities. Without having decent speaking qualities, you would not be able to persuade your client on calls, and as a result you will not be able to meet your sales targets. When pitching your products to your client, there are many aspects that you need to bear in mind. Here are 3 tips that you will find helpful for giving effective sales presentations.

Never apologize for errors – To err is human… is a phrase that you as a sales person should always be believing in. There are times when sales reps are asked to visit a client on a short notice, and this is when they make several minor mistakes. By chance you forgot to carry some crucial papers to the meeting; you left your laptop in your car; you are carrying your laptop uncharged; or you are hitting the meeting a little late. These are some commonly made mistakes, for which you should never offer an apology. Instead of saying sorry, you should be ready to use your wit, and find out a possible way to communicate the purpose of meeting. Do be sure to stay confident and have a calm and have a cheerful smile on your face. So, during sales presentations, please excuse making excuses!

Work with smart technology – Though the times have changed, and sales reps have started using digital presentation tools (PPT, PDF, etc.), which offer a great assistance to them during their calls; but most of the organizations are still not making use of technological advancements the way they should.

There are digital presentation creation tools and special utilities, like sales rep software, that enable you to manage your marketing content conveniently. When using a sale app, you will be pitching your clients in a more impressive manner, and thus, you will be selling more.

Some of the applications are so interactive and useful; they facilitate the representatives to use their existing content and consumer data to create more effective sales pitches. There are also iPads for sales reps that you can use for easy-managing your marketing content and carrying your presentations and product brochures, digitally.

Taking your client through the presentation slides – If you are creating a presentation for your next big meeting, here are a few important points to take care of. Foremost, the slides must not have a prose-like content. Your content should be presented in bullet points, which should be elaborated by you during the presentation. You MUST AVOID reading what is written on the slide. Additionally, there should be only one (or two lines, if necessary) per bullet.  Sales rep software tools can guide you pretty well in designing and creating presentations. Most importantly, do not take too much time elaborating your slides and points. Make your presentation to the point. You should focus on making your presentation relevant to your product and notably for your client.
