Where to Donate Clothes

Have you ever wondered where to donate clothes? Every time I go shopping for a new wardrobe I think about where to donate the clothes I bought. I am a huge junkie and I buy everything in every store. In order to survive, I have to think about where to donate clothes. Most people have a closet full of clothes. Some people barely have enough money to get by. And then there are those that can never have too many clothes. One of the worst things is storing clothes for years and not being able to find what you are looking for. You never know when the need will arise again. So I would suggest that everyone should think about donating clothes. This is the most ideal thing for someone to do. But is it really possible to do this? Is it even possible to donate clothes to a good cause? One thing to keep in mind is that clothing is not something you can just throw in the trash. There are certain rules and regulations regarding clothing and recycling. First, you can't just put your used clothing into a pile and take it to a charity store to sell. Every time that you wash or fold your clothing you have to make sure that you put that piece into a bin that is meant for this. agency to remember is that the charities that you can donate clothes to aren't usually ones that are for profit. They are places that help people who are in some kind of trouble. They can give them clothing, money, or even a home. In some cases they may even be able to take care of their pets. If you really want to know where to donate clothes then the first place to check is the Salvation Army. They have a drop off site where you can drop off your items. All they require is that you have on you some valid ID such as a driver's license. You can also donate cash, suitcases, and other kinds of large items if that is what you need. If you really want to know where to donate clothes there is a good reason for that. One thing that happens is that when someone does receive an appliance from one of the charities they do not have to pay taxes on it. This is one reason that keeps going on and is why you should really consider donating to these places. No matter where you go you will find out that most places are willing to take what you are giving. One last place that you should check out before you decide where to give your clothes is your local chapter of the American Legion. They will gladly take what you are donating and will recycle it all into things that they will wear. You might not realize this but half of the clothes that they have are for kids. This is just one way that you can help out. A charity store in your local area is another place where you might want to think about donating your clothes to. These stores are full of clothes for everyone from children to the elderly. These stores accept donations all year long. They do have some very affordable pieces that you can donate to them. You may have to keep an eye open so that you will be able to tell them when they have something that you can no longer use. Another place that you may want to think about where to donate clothes is the Salvation Army. They accept practically any kind of clothing that you would give them. They have a couple of different ways in which you can make a donation to them. You can choose to go the traditional route and drop off your clothes at the main distribution point where they will sort and load up everything for you. Another option that you have is to visit them yourself and ask them to come to your home and then you can drop off your clothes wherever you like. Lastly, another place that you might consider is Craigslist. This is one of the largest online classified ads sites in the world. When you search for where to donate clothes on Craigslist, you can browse through the ads section and see if there are any clothes that you can donate. It really is pretty easy to put an ad on Craigslist for anyone to pick up. All you need to do is find an area in your city that you live in and then put a short description about what you are looking for so that you get a good response. There are a lot of great places where you can go to start a clothing drive. Even if you do not have any extra money to spare, you can always do this through a local clothing store. Whatever you decide on, just remember that you can help out your community by putting these tips to use. So where to donate clothes?
