James O'Connor re-commits with Queensland Reds, Rugby Australia until 2023

Australian Rugby (RA) and Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) have received the agreement from James O'Connor, a Reds fly-half.

James O'Connor has extended his contract for the next two seasons, which means he will remain with Ballymore and the Australian rugby union team until the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

O'Connor said, "Queensland is my home. I was born here. I love this state. I like to wear a maroon sweater. This is where I want to end my career."

"I think we are going to do something special and we now have an excellent team. I am very happy to join and help them move forward."

O'Connor led the Reds to a Premiership breakthrough, scoring every point in Brumbies 19-16 success two weeks ago to win the Super Rugby AU title.
