The Confederation of South America Football (Conmembol) gave information about this. The four cities of Colombia were scheduled to compete against the Copa America and the final match was to be held on July 10 at the Barquila Estadio Metropolitano. According to sources, Conmembol issued a statement saying, "In the coming days, information will be given as to where the matches in Colombia will be held."
Colombian Sports Minister Ernesto Lukena told Conmembol that the tournament be postponed until the Corona virus ban is lifted. It was only after this that the Confederation announced the removal of Colbya from co-hosting. Conmembol said it was not possible to postpone the tournament in view of the busy global football calendar. Argentine President Alberto Fernández proposed to host the entire Copa America this week in the event of Colombia being removed from co-hosting.
