How to Apply for NOC for Vehicle?

  • To initiate for NOC application, a vehicle’s owner is needed to go to the RTO where it is initially registered in-person. Visit the native RTO in person and submit the applying for the NOC.
  • Fill up the Form CMV 28 to apply for NOC.
  • In case of loan hypothecation, Form 34
  • Next, you need to pay the applicable fees of INR 100 to obtain NOC for your vehicle. 
  • Make a payment of any taxes due for your vehicle for the smooth process of NOC application.
  • Once applied, the RTO can verify if the other state taxes or dues are unfinished with you. It will additionally check reports from police to substantiate a vehicle’s involvement in any illicit or anti-social activities as well as its ownership.
  • In the case of absence of any such issue, the RTO provides a clearance, therefore leading to approval of NOC.

Validity of NOC

A No-Objection Certificate(NOC) obtained for the vehicle is valid for 6 months. Therefore you need to re-register your vehicle within this period once moved a vehicle from one state to a different otherwise.
