A little introduction before we dive into the actual review i've been using the jabra elite sports, as my go to wireless earbuds for almost three years now. There are some things that i'm very particular about, and my earphones are one of them. I liked the elite sports so much that i got a second pair of the same wireless earbuds. I guess that explains it. So, let's begin the butts plus hit the shelves almost a year ago and i have been using them every day for the past 6 months. Hey everyone: this is neeraj from techytechtech and let's find out whether they're worth buying in 2021 [ Music ], let's start off with the design and build quality, samsung galaxy, but plus has a plastic build and both the earbuds and the case have a glossy finish. his explanation looks and feels very premium, although i find myself spending a few minutes daily, wiping the smudges on the case. Moreover, the glossy finish of the earbuds make them prone to scratches. Initially, i even considered getting a case for the charging case over time. I'Ve actually grown to like the finish as it has smoothened out. I still wouldn't recommend putting these with any sharp objects in your pocket. If that's the case pun intended, i would recommend checking out the speech in case. Let'S have a quick look. What comes in the box? The earbuds come in a small box with three pairs of silicon ear tips and fins, hd wireless charging or carrying case a usb type-c, cable and a user manual. Let'S talk about the battery life samsung claims a battery life of 22 hours. Along with the case, i did a comprehensive battery test of the galaxy but plus and samsung has delivered what they promised. I was able to get around 20 to 21 hours of juice. Out of these earbuds, moreover, the fast charging support is really useful. Let'S talk about the user experience. This section is primarily about the fit and my user experience with the galaxy buttons plus, as mentioned earlier. It comes with three pairs of fins and ear tips. I highly recommend that you try all of them before going for the best fit in order to find the best fit for yourself. You can try running or jogging, while standing still to see how well the earbuds hold their position. Getting the right fit is very important, as it will ensure better sound isolation and consequently a better listening experience. Let'S move on to the daily grind: the buds plus are fast when it comes to pairing and switching devices. They are paired and ready to go by the time you take them out of the case and put them in your ears. Some noteworthy features include auto paws and individual earphone support. In simple terms, the earbuds will work individually when you take any of them out of your ears. Switching from physical buttons on the jabra elite sports to the touch capacitive buttons on the bars plus was a challenging experience. Moreover, i had access to four different buttons. In my former earbuds, compared to only two buttons in the butts plus so yeah, the transition period was a bit bumpy. Nonetheless, i got used to the new controls very well. In fact, i like the capacitive buttons now, because i don't have to apply force to change or pause. A song applying force on earbuds affects the sound isolation which is kind of annoying and ruins. The listening experience, the buds plus companion app, also provides additional features like finding the buds touch, control, customization notification, reading functions and more. The app also shows the battery levels of individual earbuds, and the case samsung has been pretty quick with software updates. It'S been six months since i've got these wireless earbuds, and i've already received four software updates. One of the biggest letdowns with the galaxy but plus has been that they don't work that well with any other device like a pc or a mac. I tried using these for editing a video, and the experience was very unsatisfactory. You'Ll always need the galaxy buds app in order to take full advantage of the two-way speaker design, so the galaxy, but plus will only work well with ios and android devices. Let'S talk about the charging case, the carrying case of the galaxy buds plus support wireless charging so feel free to drop it on your wireless charger. The glossy case has a magnetic connectors for the earbuds, so no matter how you put the buds in they'll snap. In perfectly, the keys also has a nice build, which is travel friendly, as mentioned before. The case has a glossy finish, so i would not recommend putting these in your pocket with any sharp objects like car keys, got ta appreciate the attention to detail on this one. The led indicator has a free dot animation, even though it's a very small thing, i absolutely love it. The keys also supports fast charging and can give 1 hour of play time with just 3 minutes of charging. It usually takes around 90 to 100 minutes for the buds, along with the case, to go from zero to hundred. Let'S move on to the performance now the overall performance with the buds plus is really good. Sadly, there is no active noise cancellation. If that's a must-have feature for you, you can look at different options from bose or samsung. One major caveat i faced while reviewing the birds plus was sometimes they weren't loud enough. I kept pressing the volume up button, but the volume wouldn't increase. Initially i thought it was a bug, as it turns out, they had some limitations for the drivers on the bots plus. This was fixed in the latest software update. So it's all good. Now, let's talk about the frequency response. The performance section is good enough for a casual user, but if you're a bit of an audio enthusiast, you should watch this carefully. As mentioned earlier, i've used the buds plus for a lot of different tasks and have listened to a wide variety of music genre. In order to dive deeper into the frequency response of the quartz plus you'll have to install the birdsplus companion app, it gives access to different modes via the equalizer feature by default. It runs on the normal mode which focuses more on the base and leaves out the highs. It'S not bad, it's better than what you'll get out of any other average wireless earbuds out there things change when you switch to the dynamic mode. You experience a wider frequency response while visiting in the dynamic mode. This has become my default mode as it delivers an exceptionally good listening experience for almost every music genre. The app also offers different modes like bass or treble boost and more these modes offer different frequency responses. So it's basically like an equalizer, but with presets. I personally prefer the dynamic mode, as there were times when the highs were kind of crushed, while listening in the normal mode. Another good thing i loved about the dynamic mode was no matter how much i pushed the buds to peak or clip the sound. It didn't happen so yeah i'll give it an a plus for the frequency response. Samsung clearly took full advantage of the dual drivers with amazing software. Optimization. Let'S talk about the ambient sound feature. The ambient sound feature allows you to hear the ambient sounds along with your music. You can enable it via the app or customize a touch control for the same. It does a pretty good job for its size. You can also configure how much external sound you want to hear. Honestly, it does a decent job for when you want to hear announcement in a metro, although sometimes the noises can be a bit tinny for sounds like car horns or mechanical keys. Let'S move on to the call and microphone quality, the birds plus have three microphones on each earbud after testing the call quality via voice and video calls, i can say, they're pretty good they're, not crystal clear, but with the right insulation and fit the mics do an Above average, job by blocking external sounds even when you're using them on a busy road using the buds plus feels like you're watching a good movie. Even though it's got a fair share of pros and cons in the end, you always look forward to a sequel. Yes, the galaxy buds pro are here with active noise cancellation and other features. This also means you'll be able to easily grab the galaxy watch plus for a deal during any online sale. To conclude, if you're looking for a decent pair of wireless earbuds that you plan to use only with your smartphone or tablets and the ones which won't burn a hole in your pocket, the galaxy butts plus is a good choice for its price tag. Thank you for watching this video.
