Sexuality, Suicide, and Conflict

A few days ago, I was enjoying a libation at a local watering hole. I was minding my own, personal business, considering writing and watching people live their lives. While a slave to, a person wearing dirty jeans as well as a Labor's Union shirt yelled out over the room, "Let's get free from here, it is a fag bar." As you can imagine, this hadn't review well with 98.9% with the pub's customers, lots of whom are already drinking for, I suspect, hours. The following event is what ensued: "Who the f*@# you talking to, I'm no fag," one patron roared. The agitator exclaimed, "Mind your own personal f*%&ing business, I wasn't conversing with you." check my reference , clearly annoyed with the exchange, "Get the f%$# away from here before I kick your ass, none folks are fags." Then, as I suspected, several men prepared for battle. "Come on mother$#@%er, let's make this happen," he yelled. This fiasco ensued for five to ten arduous minutes, both rival factions sizing the other up, moving in circles, each party slowly moving on the door, the exit either to escape or even an open battlefield. As you can imagine, I was soaking this up like water to some sponge. After all, I'm a master of conflict, and I always find conflict as well as predictability fascinating. No punches were thrown on that day, the agitators left; the bar again became silent. I've witnessed this ballot of conflict numerous times; however, I find it fascinating how prevalent heterosexism is still amongst males in today's world. After all, I was on your own who told both parties to calm down also to defeat their homophobia. I, of course, couldn't help but chime in, in the end, there were a conflict, and I wanted an item. As content calculated, neither party taken notice of me or my statement. At the time I made the statement, each party couldn't hear me; these were in fight or flight. They were focused on the other person, their thrilling, and their testosterone spiking. At this point, I was invisible. We've made a great deal of progress for gays and lesbians on this country, but our progress isn't happening fast enough. I'm not homophobic. I've never been fearful of homosexuals; in fact, whatever two men or women do of their bedroom is, for me, their business. And just when you are human, we all hold the directly to pursue and possess the love of another we deeply value. look at more info , we now have made progress, my feel the other day clearly demonstrates we have not made enough. Over the past week, I've read several articles illustrating the positive correlation between homosexuality and suicide. I find this anathema, as we're a said to be a "civilized" country which espouses "life, liberty, and also the pursuit of happiness." Obviously, we're failing. It's time to take a stand; it is time to attempt to connect to people diverse from ourselves. Not only do we, straight America, need to support gays and lesbians pursue their constitutional right to pursue happiness, we must support other taboo groups, a lot of whom we don't grasp or know much about. As a society, we should support law abiding citizens whom choose to live different lifestyles, including the BDSM community, leather community, polyamory community, as well as other fetish lifestyle communities. Yes, we don't have accept these different lifestyles, but they, as outlined by our values as a nation, have the to pursue happiness, and they also will be able to do so without intimidation, coercion, or duress. We know a large number of whom are saved to the fringes of society, for whatever reason, feel isolated. And because of this, they think hopeless, unwanted, and pursue suicide, a perpetual solution with a temporary problem. Please, keep an open mind and treat everyone, irrespective of their sexual orientation, with respect and dignity. Consider providing them your friendship instead of your ridicule. We owe this to ourselves as a people along with a nation. We should try this because lives hang within the balance, nobody should die because they believe they don't participate in the collective beehive we call the United States.
