With the supporters finally returning to the football stadiums, the coronavirus pandemic struck Premier League season comes to an end. With an expectation that football behind closed doors is going to end and we are returning towards routine. This Premier League season has proved to be a real challenge for many sides in the premiership as the matches came thick and fast, which caused a lot of injury concerns for the teams in the Premier League.

Manchester City Team

Man City under Pep won yet another premier league title after narrowly missing out last premier league season. After an injury blow to VVD, The Reds could not recover and challenge City for the title this season. Manchester City played their usual one-touch fluid game and swept their opponents aside. Man City lost 6 and drew 5 matches during the season, and done with 86 points. Ilkay Gundogan was the blues’ top goal scorer with 13 goals, and De Bruyne, with 12 contributions, was the usual creator in chief. With City being in the UCL and winning the league, rate their season as 9/10.

Manchester United Team

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in his 3rd season, led Man Utd to a 2nd-place finish and a place in the EL final. Man Utd played some good stuff during the season but never looked likely to challenge Man City at the top of the table. Manchester United lost 6 and drew 11 matches during the premier league season, and done with 74 points. Fernandes was the shining light for the Red Devils, and he ended the season with a club-high of 18 goals and 12 contributions. A 2nd-place finish and EL final yet to come, Manchester United gets 8/10.

Chelsea Team

Chelsea had a tough start to the Premier League season under Lampard, but they recovered very well to finish inside top-4 under their new manager Thomas Tuchel. Under the latter, they have developed a high pressing, high-intensity style of play. The Blues have lost two games after the arrival of the German at the helm. They have also managed to reach the Champions League final after a long wait of 9 years. Jorginho with 7 and Timo Werner with 8 were the clubs leading goal scorer and assist maker. Tuchel side had considerable transfer spending in the summer, and they seem to finally fit in after the arrival of the ex PSG boss. Chelsea get a rating of 8/10.

Arsenal Team

Arsenal had a very tough season as they finished outside of Europe for the first time in 25 years. They need a rebuild. Though Arsenal made some important signings in the summer, they still need to strengthen certain departments to really challenge for something in the upcoming season. Arsenal ended the premier league season strongly as they won games on the trot. The youngsters like Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli were a ray of hope during this dull campaign. Lacazette with 13 goals and Willian with 5 assists top the gunner’s charts. After a frustrating season, they get a rating of 5/10.
