Using Your Sonos Wireless Multi-Room Audio Built-In Receivers

In a nutshell, a home stereo system consists of at least two speakers. Most recordings contain two different and independent stereo channels. And you usually have at least two ears. When you listen to stereo, recorded music typically sounds better as a live performance than it does when you listen to it on a stereo system. It is a sense, you just won't get from just one wireless stereo speaker. Many stereo systems these days have the ability to add speakers at the front end. Or you can get around this by using the front speakers on your stereo system and just using the subwoofers as signal processors and send the speaker signals to the input devices. In some cases, though, the speakers will be too far away from your listening position to make good audio quality. In that case, you will need a pair of separate stereo speakers. This is called a speaker crossover. When the stereo systems are set up so that each speaker can receive the stereo signal, the speaker drivers come into play. They are, basically, the personification of the engineers in the stereo system. They are the ones responsible for the positioning and getting the speakers pointed in the right direction for maximum effectiveness. The driver is also responsible for timing the front speakers to match the incoming audio stream so that they do not end up getting mixed with anything else. Many times, the driver is the person who knows the most about these things. After all, he or she has spent hours with the equipment day after day listening to it to know what works and what doesn't work. The person who set up your home stereo system, if you are the one that installed it, is called the installer. He or she is the one who goes around putting speakers in the right locations so that they work well and so that you hear the best quality sound from your speakers. It's their job to make sure that each component will receive the power it needs to deliver quality audio to you. In addition, the installer is the one that knows which components of the stereo system are best for the purpose you have in mind. He or she knows what amps, line insulators, head units, speakers etc. One of the nicest features of home stereo systems is that you can upgrade the speakers if you want to. Upgrading the speakers is quite easy because they are usually backward-compatible with most current home stereo systems. The advantage of upgrading your speakers is twofold. First of all, if you are moving from an old stereo system to a new one, upgrading the speakers is one of the few ways that you can really make the system sound better without having to pay a whole lot more money. The other advantage of upgrading the speakers and adding a preamp section to your stereo receiver is that it makes the stereo system a little more efficient. Why? Because the preamp section of the receiver is able to send the stereo sound wirelessly to the amp, which is then able to send the sound wirelessly to your speakers as well. This means that the entire system is run on one amp which saves a considerable amount of energy. What if your stereo receiver doesn't have a preamp section? Don't worry, most speakers now come with a preamp because it adds another component to the stereo system and makes it that much more efficient. So, if you don't need a preamp and want to have a powerful home stereo system, the best way to do that is to add a subwoofer and an amplifier. A preamp will only enhance your speakers capabilities. Remember, a stereo system is designed to perform well so that you can enjoy your favorite music in the silence of your own living room. A Sonos system can be used in any room of your house but you want to make sure you are getting the best performance possible from your speaker system. Most people would agree that they want to hear music loud but still be able to listen to it clearly when it's quiet. With a wireless multi-room audio built-in receiver such as the Sonos Mini NVce, you can easily accomplish this. You can connect each speaker to its own amp, so that you can get the best clear sound no matter what time of day it is.
