With so many myths, half truths and misleading information out there, you may find it useful (and fun) to test yourself to find out how much you really know about your eating habits and that of your family. Misinformation about food, nutrition and health could actually mean you're making the wrong decisions about your diet, symptoms and prevention of illness.

Consider that 46% of Americans take at least one prescription pill daily. Are these drugs really solving all your problems? Big pharma news spends billions to promote their products on TV, the radio, in print advertising and even puts tremendous on doctors to promote their drugs. Do you know that America is only one of two countries in the world that allows prescription drug ads? The only other country is New Zealand.

Value investors look for companies that have seen success, seen that success diminish (due to everything from too many recalls to a CEO who's brought in as a "fixer") and buy these dogs cheap. It's a form of contrarian investing. When everyone is buying, you be a seller and when the herd is selling, buy up good companies at steep discounts.

I'm blessed to live in a country with excellent sickness care options. In the case of emergency or trauma or life-saving procedures we have the best. In the case of "health care"... not so much! Sadly though, it's all there. Everything we need in order to create ideal health is right here at our fingertips. As a culture, we just keep overlooking it and choosing sickness care, expecting health as the outcome.

The Good News: The dim light now becoming visible to many people is becoming a bit brighter when caring physicians step forward in defiance of the drug cartels. No...I'm not speaking of the Latin American drug lords; these are the drug cartels who produce today's plethora of tablets, capsules and liquids that are pumped into the human body in the name of health care. But a mere handful of physicians are putting patient care above profit.

The real reason why people are obese is the huge selection of fattening foods available and poor self control when it comes to eating. Plus, the TV, couch and remote control. Lifestyle changes are necessary if you want to burn fat and lose weight healthily.

Looks like this macro vs microeconomics trend is going to last a lot longer if nobody dare to imagine a different alternative. The good news is; there is such an alternative. In fact, many organizations can implement it right away but the decision to make the change can take forever.
