Day three of the Gionee India Beach Fashion Week at The Lalit Golf & Spa resort in Goa turned on the heat with Bollywood showstoppers taking to the ramp.

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari flaunted her voluptuous figure in a bikini choli and white lehenga with gold foil rose patterns by designer-duo Sukriti and Aakriti Grover.

Adding sexy bridal flair to the look, the diva wore a statement maang tikka on her forehead, and softly waved hair cascaded down for a relaxed bridal style.

“I feel brides are always decked up with heavy clothes and jewellery, but to have something that’s so light and pretty, is lovely. There’s nothing more beautiful than white. It has a delicate vibe. I love white and gold and (I would) absolutely wear it for my own wedding,”said Aditi.

Other shows of the day included men’s wear printed suits by Kolkata-based duo Dev R Nil, who presented a retro-inspired collection comprising of short trousers with cotton and khadi jacket.

The smart range featured floral and foliage prints as well as tie-and-dye checks.

One of the most unique presentations of the day was by none other than Lalit Dalmia and his zombie resort bride collection.

While the first half of his show featured a host of skimpy bikinis and swimwear, the second half took a turn towards ethnic ensembles.

Models walked onto the ramp as zombies while dressed in embroidered lehengas and blouses, surely with a Halloween theme in mind.

Meanwhile, Dimple Raghani presented a collection inspired by the English rose, and actress Evelyn Sharma walked as her showstopper.

The actress wore a champagne-coloured layered lehenga with beaded floral embroidery, paired with long-sleeved net choli and dupatta.

The grand finale of the event was by Goa’s very own fashion designer Wendell Rodricks, who brought the flowing fabrics he is most known for to the runway once again.

In keeping with the breezy vibe of the coastal city, the ensembles were cut in simple silhouettes and with a minimal sensibility.

The range of dresses, tops and skirts for women were in a colour palette of black, white, and pale blue - and dhoti pants for men.

The collection also featured designer swimming shorts for men, in a range of pastel colours.
